Publisher's Summary

USA Today best-selling Men of Inked: Southside - books 1 and 2.

Maneuver

This isn't how fairy tales typically starts, but it's where mine begins....

No money, no phone, and abandoned on the streets of Chicago.

With my baby in my arms, I wander into a bar in a shady neighborhood and ask to use their phone.

When my father turns us away and completely disowns me, the bar owner, and total hottie, offers us a place to stay...no strings attached.

I'm leery at first.
Hot alpha guy.
Down on her luck single mother.
I mean, who wouldn't be?

Lucio Gallo isn't like most men, though. He's fiercely protective, loyal, and did I mention he's covered in nothing but muscle?

Above all else, he's everything I need but never knew I wanted.

Flow

The moment I looked into his eyes, I knew I was in trouble.
The second I heard his name, I knew I should stay away.

Our fathers were mortal enemies - Chicago crime bosses from rival families.

But that didn't stop Leo Conti from pursuing me.
Being together was dangerous, reckless, and totally hot.
He wanted me. I wanted him.

What could possibly go wrong?

Great start!

Great start to the Southside Inked series. Because of the fine choice for narrators, this is a very enjoyable and exciting new series for me to totally become hooked on.

🔥🔥🔥HOLY AMAZING🔥🔥🔥

First of all I must say a Chelle is one of my fav authors. With that said.......this series is everything you could want in one banging sexy time bundle. Daaaaammmnnn hot. Not to mention the story itself is to good to put down. I listened to the entire series in one setting.
The narrators knocked it out of the park. I read the books first, the audio brought it to life and mad it that much better 🥰

A little cheesy

I only finished book 1 in this bundle. I didn’t hate the story but it was really cheesy. It’s probably just me though. I’m not going to continue to book 2.

Narrator 😔

I am not usually one to leave a review. Over all the story was going good and I bet it would have been great! but unfortunately I had to stop half way through the first book, as I Couldn’t get over how annoying the female narrator (Erin Mallon) was, I wish she would read normally and not try putting on a voice that was totally unneeded. I will not be listening to her again. Lance greenfield voice was amazing! Perfect for the main guy.
Andi Arndit would have been perfect for the female

Can't get past Erin Mallon

I wanted to listen to this. But I can't get past the way Erin Mallon emphasizes the last word of every sentence. It seems fake or forced. I couldn't enjoy the story. Audio book wasn't even broken into chapters so I could skip to the next story to listen to Kai Kenicott & Wen Ross. I'm not trying to be mean to Erin Mallon here. But, I couldnt get past her narration/diction. it was too distracting. I'm going to download the second book in the series in hopes I like that one.

New series, great starts

This is the first two installments into a new series with a criminal, mafia-type twist in the heart of Chicago.
Total alpha men and strong women, lots of drama and angst. If you loved the Men of Inkd series, you will definitely enjoy this one as well.

All four of the narrators were great choices for these characters. Erin Mallon showed Delilah 's Sweet side and Lance Greenfield portrayed a no nonsense Lucio Gallo. Kai and Wen were a perfect dou for Daphne and Leo's star-crossed story.

reviews

Would have been much better to have voices performed by the proper sex rather than 1 person voicing all in the chapter.

Men of Ink

I’ll admit, I read the first book a while back and did not hate it but I didn’t like it either. Sorry, I’m being honest. After saying that, I gave it a chance and listened... hearing it made it so much better for me. I enjoyed both stories. I like the family dynamics, the closeness, and overall the intriguing storyline.
The narration was fantastic.
