This bestselling series follows the adventures and training of young Merlin, the great wizard who counseled King Arthur.
"A novel rich with magic."—The New York Times Book Review
"An extraordinary journey of mind, body, and spirit—for both Merlin and ourselves." —Madeleine L'Engle
A raging sea tosses a boy upon the shores of ancient Wales. Left for dead, he has no memory, no name, and no home. But it is his determination to find out who he is—to learn the truth about his mysterious powers—that leads him to a strange and enchanted land. And it is there he discovers that the fate of this land and his personal quest are strangely entwined.

The book was just as good as I remember it, if not a little on the younger reading level than I remembered, haha. I highly recommend this series to anyone. I love this take on Merlin's youth and seeing him grow into his powers. The people he meets along the way are super interesting and just capture your heart.
I do remember loosing some interest in the later books of this series as a kid, as they pull the focus away from Merlin himself and onto other characters in this world. It's not a bad thing, it just disappointed kid me who was in it for Merlin. I'm looking forward to the last few books now that I'm older and expecting it.
The narrator did a fantastic job. He has a classic fantasy narrator voice that leans into this stories vibe well.
Still as good as I remember it!
