Story
Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood . . . an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?

Story
Annabel was about to take the veil to become a nun, when her mother suddenly arrived at the abbey to take her home...so that she can marry the Scottish laird who is betrothed to her runaway sister! She knows nothing about being a wife, nothing about how to run a household, and definitely nothing about the marriage bed. From the moment Ross MacKay sets eyes on Annabel, he is taken with his shy, sweet bride...and the fact that she's blessed with lush curves only makes him utter his own prayers of thanks. But when an enemy endangers her life, he'll move the Highlands themselves to save her.

Story
Cat shifter Bree Dwyer doesn't fear much. Ironically, what she fears most is the person who was put on the Earth just for her. Your true mate wasn't supposed to be cruel and twisted; wasn't supposed to be someone who'd never love or want to claim you. The rumors that her true mate is dead bring her only relief. Bree's intent on moving forward with her life and building a future with someone else. Sadly, the male she wants most is one she can never have - a hot-as-sin wolverine shifter who happens to be her boss...and the cousin of her predestined mate.

Publisher's Summary
In the latest Argeneau novel from New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands, an immortal and her mortal pilot are on the run from hungry vampires...and discover they’re life mates along the way.
Jet Lassiter likes being a pilot for Argeneau Inc. Perks included travelling to exotic locations and meeting interesting people, even if they are the blood-sucking kind. He’s living the good life, until his plane goes down in the mountains and four of his passengers are gravely injured. They need blood to heal...and Jet is the only source.
Quinn Peters never wanted to be immortal. Once a renowned heart surgeon, she was turned against her will, and now she has to drink blood to survive. Before she can ask how her “life” can get any worse, she’s in a plane crash. One of the few survivors, Quinn is desperate to get the mortal pilot to safety before her fellow immortals succumb to their blood lust and drain Jet dry.
But hungry vampires are the least of their worries - the crash wasn’t an accident, and someone is trying to kill Quinn. Will she and Jet find their happily-ever-after as life mates, or will her assassin find her first?

Could have been better
I really enjoy Lyndsay Sands stories, but when it comes to Audible, the narration choices are awful. Only Kirby Heyborne was good, but almost every book in this very long series uses a different narrator, with the exception of the first few, who had an absolute terrible narrator. I can't physically read book any longer so just reading isn't an option for me, but its so annoying to get a new book I was excited about and cringing when the narrator clearly has no understanding of the series, the nationalities of the characters. They should READ the book before recording and KNOW some characters need non American accents. Its even more annoying when after every character having only an American accent (and most of these people are Canadian) the Italian Dante suddenly has a slight accent.
I'm enjoying the story, but hating some of my favorite characters have no vocal distinction. it truly takes away from the experience. This whole series should be re-recorded with Kirsten Potter. She could make this whole experonce seamless.and enjoyable.

Decent
Stacey did better with this one than the last one and pronounced No-tay...yay!! Story line is good and it's fun to have other characters return, but there were gaps. Maybe I missed it but what happened with Julius and Marguerite's baby? She was ready to pop last book and then nothing in this one. I enjoy reading about the new couples and am excited for Stephanie's story, but I really enjoy the continuation of the previous couples and missed that here.

Disappointed.
I have almost all this series, I just did not like this one. Maybe the person reading it or all the insecurity of Quinn. Then droning on and on about what she should have already known. I felt like someone else wrote this book. Lost me right at the first with her whining insecurities, while a man's life was at stake. Weak self centeredness, all about me, wa wa wa . not even learning to be what she was, not even for her child. I will try it again later, if I can I will change the review. Very disappointed.

Disappointed. Plot ok but details missing. More sex than story. I'm sorry I wasted a credit.

Not as good as some of her other ones.
Kinda a slow start then built momentum, actually didn't get really good until towards the end.

Simply Wonderful
I pre ordered this audio book in April and ended up sitting up all night listening to it. I recognized Jett from a former book but didn't realize Quinn was Pet's sister from a former book.
