Yes, this is the book you are looking for

I loved this book. From history of BPD to it's biology, from very descriptive examples to actually really working practices. I'm new to this topic, but this book is my favorite so far.
Highlights:
(+) BPD is actually explained here. It's not just a book about what to do it's also a book about what it is
(+) I liked the narrator very much. This is subjective, but I think both voice and intonation are very nice
(-) Not a word about Favorite Person (FP)
I recommended this book to all friends with BPD. Good luck, guys!

Excellent book for anyone who thinks they might have BPD

This book explains the symptoms, feelings, and actions of people with BPD and more importantly gives techniques to work on your own symptoms.

It also explains BPD in a way that you don’t usually see - the symptoms of people who suffer with this in silence rather than the extreme versions that we often hear about.

Alternate title could be “how to jedi-up your life”

I struggled with BPD all my life, and I’ve read at least 20 books on self-help to try and understand my particular suffering (self-harm & self-hatred). This book is extremely powerful and I have no doubt I will be listening to it many times. It’s brought me so much peace to understand all the different little ways that excess emotions bleed into everyday activities and being MINDFUL of that was easier than I ever thought possible. But to do that you first need to understand the actual disorder, and this book is extremely clarifying on the topic while also being succinct. For me this book means self compassion, and that’s a gift that has been invaluable since my first read. Thank you.

Put me into Remission

This was the first book I picked up after being diagnosed. For 14 years I suffered without the correct title and without any help. This book was a life changer and I can say I am 80% better than I was before it. I can control triggers and live more in the moment. AMAZING. Highly recommended. Written in a very non triggering way. Very empathetic, relatable, and eye opening.

Recommend

As a therapist, I have recommended this book to my clients. It gives hope to people w BPD for ways to practice to lessen/end their suffering. This book gives real life examples from real people w BPD and how these techniques have worked for them. This is not a "quick fix". It takes practice and determination. It describes the techniques in a clear understandable manner. These techniques build upon each other. If you listen/read this book all the way thru, don't become overwhelmed. Remember it is a process that takes time and practice. I would recommend reading it thru one time, then come back and go thru and practice taking each chapter/techniques one at a time. Practice it till you feel comfortable before moving to the next chapter.
I listened to this book read by Laura Copland on my 30 min drive to work in the morning. She does an excellent job. Her voice has good variable pitch and rhythm. She reads at a good rate; not too fast and not too slow. She expresses emotion when needed but does not over do it. I've listened to previews of other books I would like to hear while driving but the reader's voice was monotone or their voice was too exaggerated. Laura Copland's voice kept my attention, but I was focused on the content and not her voice.

Helpful

Very practical, helpful information. Good for everyone not just those with BPD. I wish it had a different title as I'd like to recommend to others but worried that it may offend.

Packed with useful tools for managing BPD

Would you consider the audio edition of Mindfulness for Borderline Personality Disorder to be better than the print version?

I've never read the print version, but I appreciate the audio version for when my mind is too riled up to focus on a printed book.

What did you like best about this story?

The authors provide several useful acronyms and exercises, which are particularly useful when trying to remember skills in an emotionally heated moment.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite exercise is ride the wave, which provides an acronym to remember the steps required to ground oneself when prone to dissociation.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I wanted to take breaks to practice the exercises as I read about them.

Compassionate and USEFUL

This is the first BPD resource I have come across where the authors truly seem to speak to the person with BPD and get how they feel. It also contains lots of information I personally found useful that is not typically found in other books, such as brain composition, that has helped me understand the biological reasons why I act the way I act. 10/10 would recommend.

The best book for BPD

There is so little info on what BPD is and the books out there don’t cover much. This book is the best for explaining what BPD is from every aspect and how mindfulness can be applied to heal. Thank you!!
