Publisher's Summary
Rafi’s return to the city of her birth isn’t going to be an easy one. She and her love Col must surge on new faces and bodies in order to infiltrate Shreve by dropping from the sky and landing undetected. Rafi’s sister Frey - no longer a twin in features, but still a twin by birth - is waiting with a rebel army outside.
Are the sisters on the same side...or are they playing to their own agendas? If their father is deposed from Shreve, who will take control? And what other forces may be waiting in the wings?
Mirror's Edge is another brilliant blockbuster from one of the greatest speculative writers YA fiction has ever seen, set within the world of Uglies...and about to converge with Uglies in a spectacular way.

Great Read
Loved it. Fantastic addition to the series. That ending though... I need more books in this series!

Societal fears and Scott Westerfeld
One of my favourite things about this series is that he does an amazing job adapting each novel to current trends in social fears, where the series started was with a lack of individuality and the fear of being a sheep. This book, however, firmly captures the fear that many young adults face today is the fear of their insecurities of their place in the world today. On top of that the writing is well done, the flow of the book never feels forced and his writing is one of few whose plans I can never predict, no twists I can map out in front of me. NOT TO MENTION THE LAST SENTENCE OH MY GODS. I also cried with this book, I haven’t cried at a book in a while, Why’s it always gotta be the third book Scott?

Spoilers at end
The book was wonderful until about the last 7 minutes. A number of major things happened all at once that deserved much more elaboration. I’ve learned there is a 4th book to complete the series so I’m raising my review to 5 stars. Cliffhanger doesn’t begin to explain the end of this book because there are multiple unanswered questions. I sincerely hope there is a big revelation in the final book and Cole is not in fact dead because after being abused and tortured and told it was normal I need Frey to have that win. Someone that loves her as she is and not how she can be used and manipulated. Please bring Cole back. Not all stories have a happy ending but Frey deserves one. And your readers need one. Tallie lost her love. Let Frey have a different ending.

Holy crap
As the previous audiobooks, one of the best narrators I’ve ever heard. Writing is pretty decent continuation of the story with some wild things, definitely makes you want to listen to the next

Westerfeld does it again
Another intriguing and spell binding story in the never ending saga that is the world of the pretties. Westerfeld is a master when it comes to dystopian adventure and Therese Plummer is completely on point where her excellent narration of this wonderful book. A work of warning - by alone when you get towards the end. My raucous reactions to the various twists woke my family from their slumber

Engaging
I enjoyed it. The romance felt forced, but the world-building was good and the identity issues were intriguing between the twins
