Publisher's Summary

Straightlaced freshman Zooey Cartwright has arrived at UCLA determined to have a heck of a lot more fun in college than she did in high school. What's the first item on Zooey's agenda before classes start in two days? Losing her pesky V card. She's definitely not looking for a boyfriend, so where can Zooey find the right guy to do the deed and move along without a backward glance? At a party thrown by a bunch of football players, of course.

Enter Tyler Caldwell. A beast on the field and off, cocky as heck, and often wearing T-shirts with sayings like "God's Gift to Womankind", Tyler is most definitely not boyfriend material.

After a make-out session with Tyler leaves Zooey entirely unsatisfied, she is determined never to see him again. But her schedule lands her in not one but two of his classes, and it doesn't take long before Tyler is giving Zooey exactly what she wants - and a whole lot more she never bargained for.

Can Zooey surrender her body to this bad boy without giving him her heart, too?

Written in the Stars

I read this book first and loved it so much that I had to buy the audio. Lauren Rowe does an incredible job narrating (by the way, how cool is it that she narrates her own books!?!?) and I fell in love with Tyler and Zooey all over again. Even if you've read this one, I still recommend the audio because Lauren truly brings this story to life. THIS is how NA/college romance should be done! Pure perfection!!

Below is my original review of the book :)

I am literally bursting with LOVE for this book! It was like the merging of all of my favorite things into one story. From the songs/music highlighted (Harvey Danger, George Michael, to the musical Wicked), the pop culture references, and to the fantastic location at UCLA - it was pure perfection from start to finish. There were times while reading that I thought that the author was inside my head. Lauren Rowe and I are clearly twinsies.

Misadventures of a College Girl was such an awesome new adult/college sports romance. It was fun, sweet, and so sexy. Tyler may have come across initially as a cocky douchebag, but it was his vulnerability, drive, and thoughtfulness that won me over. I really enjoyed the playful banter and innuendo between him and Zooey and that she didn't let his charm turn her into a swooning fangirl - well, at least not all the time. ;) Their meet cute may have leaned more to the lust driven side than cute, but what ended up developing between them was organic and natural. I loved that there wasn't any unnecessary drama and that the story focused on Tyler and Zooey. The obstacles they face are realistic and honest. I respected both characters immensely for not letting their dreams fall by the wayside and for being true to themselves.

This modern day Romeo and Juliet story will have you laughing and swooning. I could not have had a bigger smile on my face and a happier heart when I finished. Can't recommend this book enough!

ps - ABSOLUTELY LOVED the author's note at the end! #BruinsForever
A Trojan is only good once, but a Bruin is FOREVER!!

Amazing

I love Lauren’s stories. It’s got the perfect balance of sweetness and raunch. It’s also got a compellingly strong and quirky female lead and a swoon-worthy male lead. It doesn’t fall into stereotypes. And as typical Lauren style, she has heartbreaking, but realistic obstacles for them to overcome. I love it. So good. I wish I had more time with Zooey and Tyler.

not late at night

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but the biggest mistake I made was starting it at bedtime and not being able to stop until the end, which was very early in the morning. Not much sleep.

They were such a great couple. Tyler could have been a total manwhore, and maybe that is what you are meant to think about him, but when it came to the moment, he was fantastic and really what Zooey needed. He was great. They were a very funny couple and the story had a lot of LOL moments.

I was concerned about the rating. It seemed too good to be true, but I was not disappointed. I hadn't read anything by Lauren Rowe before, and now I've read several books. It was a great introduction to her and her work. I thought her narration was fantastic and loved it.

Fantastic story and one I know I will go back to over and over.

Highly recommend will keep you smiling and wanting more

I grab this Audio book on a whim knowing I was going to have a hard week at work and be committed more. What intrigued me the most about this Audio was the Author was the Narrator. OMG this book was amazing, I laughed, I cried and I could help but smile while listening. Laura Rowe did an amazing job with narrating her story. This story has great characters and you just can’t wait to hear or read where there conversation are going to lead you next. Great read and Audio

Feel good story with some good sexy fun

I really enjoyed this story. I was pleasantly surprised by certain aspects of this book that I could easily have seen (and have seen in many other books) that were handled very well in this story. It's hard to put into words without giving anything away, but just know that this story will just make you feel good. On a side note, the many songs referenced were a wonderful little addition that I found I really enjoyed.

Cute

This was a laugh out loud, cute, and entertaining story. I wish we would’ve gotten Tyler’s POV, this would have made it so much better. That being said, I enjoyed this story.

Another great Misadventure

Whenever I want something short, entertaining, just enough sexy I look through the Misadventure series. This one did not disappoint. It had just enough humor and sexiness in it with great narration.

Another sexy misadventure!

I’m going through a Lauren Rowe phase because I freaking love her work. Narration is stellar. The writing is fun. The sex is super hot. The stories are good.

Now sometimes the dialogue is a little immature, but chalk it up to college and the notion that when you’re not studying, you just want to check out of it and just be silly. I enjoy it. Feels a little more realistic.

The story of Zooey and Tyler is cute. Friends to lovers in an unconventional way. Zooey wants to cash in her V card and Tyler wants to navigate that and more. And they really did. They just didn’t know what to do when they lives were set to pull them apart.

My only issue was with the end. It’s a total HEA and we pretty much know how it would happen, but I just felt a little too put together. Still loved the book.

Short and Sweet

This was a really cute story. Good chemistry and characters, little drama. Short, sweet, easy listen.
