Publisher's Summary

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.

Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa Claus' niece, heir to the Winter Throne, and now...private investigator. Sort of.

Jayne takes Sinclair on a much-needed visit to her winter wonderland home, the North Pole. She wants him to see what her royal life is truly like. She knows the protocol and regulations that define her existence as heir to the Winter Throne aren’t for everyone and worries it will be more than he wants to handle.

All seems well until a weird coincidence in a toy contest has some of the citizens of the North Pole giving Sinclair the side-eye. He’s a necromancer, and not everyone is okay with that.

Jayne vows to prove his presence and the apparent cheating are unrelated, but digging deeper, she uncovers all kinds of strange occurrences that only complicate things and make another thing perfectly clear. Someone doesn’t want Sinclair around.

When that someone cracks and takes action, Sinclair is in danger of losing more than his good name. Can Jayne chill the rumors that threaten the royal family and keep Sinclair from being permanently iced?

Fabulous

I love this series, and this book most of all. The story was fun, heartwarming and fascinating. An enjoyable time spent with characters you could feel were real and part of a fantasy you’d love to be a part of in real life. P.S., Spider is the greatest cat ever. Love the boyfriend and girlfriend kitty moments.

Best for Last

This is the final Jayne Frost book and it is delightful. I will be sad to see the characters go. Maybe she will show up again in Nocturne Falls books.

So disappointed — not worthy of the series

This was a hasty, poorly written debacle that pulls down the otherwise delightful series. The author filled in redundancy and chattering to get to the word count. The only light spot was the always great narration. Shame.

A Left at the Door review of Miss Frost #6

After the last book, I was pleasantly surprised with the direction of this story. I really enjoyed getting to see Kristen's vision of the North Pole, and the story kept you guessing to the very end. I really enjoyed the book, and it had me laughing and crying the entire time. Hopefully we see more of Jayne and Sin in the future.

Hoping it's not the end

I have not read any of the other Nocturn Falls books. I thought the idea of Jayne Frost was fun and different. I felt like this was the final bok in this story line, but I hope not.

Another great book

I love this series. I just love Jayne and Sinclair. This story took place in the North Pole. Jayne takes Sinclair so he can see how being in the royal family is. However, as usual trouble happens and Jayne and Sinclair try to get to the answers needed to solve the issue. I hope the Jayne series continues in the North Pole. I love Jayne.

best one yet!

I love all the Jayne Frost stories but this has been the best 1 yet. I love how most of the story was in the North Pole. It was very exciting.

Exciting! Jane and Sin Official amongst intrigue

Sin came to visit the NP due to Jane wanting him to see royal life before she gave her response to his engagement question. They got more than they bargained for! Mystery, intrigue and betrayal. This book had it all! Most importantly Jane realized all she wanted was Sin be it as queen of the NP or in Nocturne Falls! Romantic and eye opening. I hope for at least one more book for the wedding ceremony and maybe one day about her taking the throne. However, if that doesn’t happen this book ended I. A way that I can let my imagination do the work for the rest :-). Big Thank You to Kristen Painter for such an awesome book and series!
