Moominvalley in November is one of the most important books I ever read as a child. It expanded my idea of what books could be like, and I'm not sure I've ever found one quite like it since. Hugh Dennis' performance is delightful; his array of UK regional accents all suit the characters well, even when they're not quite how I imagined them. Essential children's literature.
