When it first gets announced, the Leteo Institute's memory-alteration procedure seems too good to be true to Aaron Soto; miracle cure-alls don't tend to pop up in the Bronx projects. He has the support of his patient girlfriend, if not necessarily his distant brother and overworked mother, but it's not enough.

Aaron's not only able to be himself, but happiness feels easy with Thomas. The love Aaron discovers may cost him what's left of his life. But since Aaron can't suddenly stop being gay, Leteo may be the only way out.

Hurt so good!
Man, this book broke my heart. it stayed with me for a few days. I didn't know how to feel. But now that I've processed the book a bit more, I can't recommend enough. Amazing diverse characters, awesome narrator and all the feels. Aaron will stay with me for a long time.

devastatingly good
I don't think I've ever had my heart break so profoundly. I loved every moment of this book.
I cry easily, not gonna lie about that. but there were times where I was so heartbroken I couldn't cry. I wasn't expecting the second half of the book to be the journey that it was. I'll be thinking of this book for the rest of my life, and won't be surprised if I buy a hard copy.
definitely going into my "repeated listens" playlist immediately. will probably listen at least once a year from now on.

very emotional, hard to listen to at times
love Adam Silvera's books and I had heard this one was one of the darker ones of his - his realistic and heartfelt writing style paired painfully with the struggles Aaron has to go through. I enjoyed it and was intrigued to see what happened next, but wouldn't read again

Astonishing
This book truly is astonishing, i barely have any words how i’m feeling right now. Adam this might be your finest work i’ve read so far.

WOW
This book made me realize how spoiled I am as a reader. The pain i feel is so much but i can’t hate it. I want to forget the whole book just so I can read it again and experience the best heartbreak that I might never recover from. The narrator did such an amazing job
