The writing is terrible. The accents are weird.

There were no original ideas in this series. A lot of it seemed really juvenile. Very predictable. Super corny. There was nothing in this series that showed me that the author knew anything about the time period she was writing about. Pretty sure this was just a really poor attempt to grab some Outlander followers and maybe ride that coat tail for awhile. I couldn’t finish it. Definitely returning it.

Unexpected!!

I for one cannot believe this narration!! What a treat with so many people involved in this book you could easily tell who was talking. Amazing!!

Also the book itself was funny and upbeat, and continued to evolve without much repeating! Was very unexpected!

Not what I expected

I guess after being a fan of the Outlander series, my expectations were a little high. The quality of the dialogue, the predictability of each happy ending, it was just like a fairy tale written for teenagers.

Don't bother

Narrator can't do the Scottish ascent. It sounded more Irish. Story line is juvenile with poor characters.

More Please

Such an enjoyable set of stories and endearing cast of characters. Most enjoyably being able to seamlessly travel from one escapade to another without encumbrance. Knowing the rest of the series is available as a boxset only heightens my desire to experience the remaining trists of Morna's Legacy in the same manner as I did the first, only the audible companion does not yet exist, so I must reiterate my above sentiment: MORE PLEASE...

Ehhhh, just okay...

This story borderlines on being a "trashy romance novel." Didn't need the graphic descriptions of romantic interludes. The storyline is predictable. The narrator wasn't very good. Not enough distinction between characters, and her "Scottish" accent frequently sounded more Irish than Scottish. I will not be purchasing the rest of the series.

Predictably written and terribly performance by the narrator. the accents were not authentic. I'd give it .5 stars if I could.

Why Irish accents?

Any additional comments?

The story was fair, very predictable. My main problem was with the reader's accents....she had an incredibly good Irish brogue, too bad this was Scotland! I've been to both places and believe me they are not alike!! It was very disconcerting to me and more or less ruined the books.

Worst narration ever!!!

While Lily Collingwood might be good at narrating American books, please do not EVER let her do another like this. She ruined the story. It was so bad I returned the book!!!
