Story
Imagine going to bed with mousy brown locks and waking up with a headful of supernova scarlet. It's a hot new look for me - literally, because it bursts into flames whenever I'm threatened. My magical makeover is all Gary's fault. I knew there was something off from the moment he transferred to my school. Go figure. He's a wizard with a trust fund and an inferiority complex. Now, thanks to him, I've graduated from high school bullies to supernatural terrors and that's not all. Fate has chosen me to face the legendary vampire destined to destroy the world.

Publisher's Summary
In a Regency England where magic and faeries are real...
Fitzwilliam Darcy is a powerful magician who controls fire, water, and wind. What he cannot control is his growing feelings for Miss Elizabeth Bennet.
Elizabeth's sentiments towards Darcy are quite different. She detests his arrogance, and she fears he will expose her use of forbidden magic - forbidden to women, that is. He is the last man in the world she would choose to help her on a difficult and dangerous task.
But when a magical war looms between the land of Faerie and their world, a Lord of Faerie demands that Darcy and Elizabeth serve together as his emissaries to make peace with the other mortals. That mission throws them into the middle of a chaotic power struggle between magicians whose power dwarfs their own, and everything Elizabeth has ever believed about her family, her friends, and her enemies will be called into question.

Wasn't sure about this at first....
Generally I am not a fan of mythical (best word I could find) but I am a big fan of Abigail Reynolds so I gave it a go and I am glad I did. The story is very good, there was enough explanation of what is going on so I didn't feel like I was reading (listening) to something out of my element. Elizabeth Klett is an exceptional narrator, which just added the cherry on top of the cake!

Magical
Abigail Reynolds once again blows us all away.
Despite being set in a magical England with Sorcery and Witchcraft this story stays true to the heart of Jane Austen's writing. Our beloved characters are the same in basics, but changed just enough to make them fit like a glove into this story.
I liked how the romance was there to support the rest of the story, not the sole focus. There was mystery and drama and scandal! We saw a new side to Anne and Mrs. Bennet which I delighted in.
And as always Elizabeth Klett did a wonderful job in her narration. It was easy and enjoyable to listen too.

Mostly fun and diverting
I enjoy the many, many P&P variations in all their various manifestations and incarnations, and this is certainly one of the most unusual. Sometimes charmingly whimsical, occasionally eye-rollingly silly, the story’s fantasy theme is a fun listen. Lizzy and Darcy are true to their characters, but everyone else (Mr and Mrs Bennett, Mr. Collins, Wickham, etc, etc) were full of surprises.

Absolutely enchanted
I am normally not into fantasy but this story was enchanting. Just as the title says. I am sitting in wonder how an author can imagine all this and then get it down on paper. The narrator is also outstanding. Top notch. Highly recommend this book to a Jane Austen fan fiction lover.

Magically Enchanting
Simply marvelous! Mrs Reynolds' lyrical writing is kept me transfixed until the very last sentence. I truly loved it and hope there is a continuation to this storyline in more books.
This book can be classified as a few things, romance, historical fiction and fantasy. It can also be classified as JAFF. This would not be considered a re-telling perse. This story is more of a loose re-imagined interpretation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice mixed with some of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
As always Ms Elizabeth Klett is awe inspiring in her performance. She gives each character something that makes the work so compelling.
