Publisher's Summary

He was gorgeous, older, and had the worst reputation in all of England. The way he looked at me sent shivers down my spine.

Our first meeting was at a wedding, where he followed me outside and kissed me. Our second meeting ended in a huge fight with me kicking him out. Our third meeting, I went on a double blind date. You can imagine my surprise when I saw familiar blue eyes across the table opposite my friend. Oh...no....

He was sarcastic and witty, and damn, if he wasn’t the sexiest bastard I ever laid eyes on. Then, he sent me an email listing 30 reasons why I should go on a date with him. I was expecting a suave and intelligent list. Curious, I read on. Reason one - I have white teeth. Reason two - I love my grandma. Reason three - I have a size 13 shoe - you do the math. The man’s a fool, his list was some of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read. And the funniest. We laughed hard...and loved harder.

You can outrun everything...except your past. And his has caught up. Wild, handsome players don’t fall for innocent girls like me. Or do they?

Hilariously Funny

This book had me killing myself laughing as well as saying you moron get over yourself (not the character you think it would be but you will know when you hear it and it isn’t where you think it will be). This truly was a great story an the narrators where excellent! As this is apparently a series I am going to have to look for the other books.

I just can’t...give it more than 3

I loathe giving a low rating. Honestly, I do but I have some major issues here and I’m over 9 hours in. It feels like a waste of time. There may be some spoilers here but my gosh.

How is this guy with this huge appendage taking this woman’s virginity and it’s unknown or maybe unseen aftermath and she is totally unfazed, going at it with no issues? What’s up with her having to go over such deep explanation as to why he can’t meet his ex? Why did the FMC seem like a Mary Poppins prude but is irritatingly needy? She felt manipulative, I mean what a useless arguments. “A giant golden uterus”?!?! WTF??? What’s going on with other characters in the story?

The brother’s wife was a little predictable. The brother Edward was a pain in the neck. And the ex....AGAIN? The last sex scene was really strange, their disagreements were actually disturbing, rudely and verbally aggressive. It could have been a hot sexy story but there’s no chemistry and very little Shane.

This just felt lacking. Maybe I will change this review after the last 5 or so hours, it’s not like I am going to stop this far in. I feel like I picked this story apart but it is what it is.

How Many Times Can I Say: “PRONUNCIATION”???

Things I hated:
1. “Goofily” and “sexily” over and over and over in every one of these books.
2. Narrator’s repeated pronunciation of “assumed” (ashoomed). Is that an Aussie thing?
3. Narrator’s pronunciation of “Ibiza” (eye-beetha). If you’re pretentious enough to use the Spanish pronunciation of Z (th), then use the correct pronunciation of the word, Ee-bee-tha. Otherwise, just say it in English: Ibiza (short i, long e, regular z)
What I loved: All the rest. Super cute, fun and sexy. Definitely worth the credit.

Spencer & Charlotte

I truly enjoy TL Swan's stories and this is my second favorite audiobook of all time following 'Mr Masters'. Both narrators do a phenomenal job and I know I'll be listening to this story over and over.

Spencer is a player and Charlotte is an innocent sheltered heiress. The two together create a steamy storm of emotions that bleed off the page and through the narration straight to my heart. I hope you love it as much as I do, I highly recommend it. JP

Crazy making DNF

Such potential wasted. Multiple opportunities to make it a book worth reading. But noooo...
Wish I had read reviews before I purchased.
Spencer had me until the 76% mark and then the storyline went to sh&@$. And before that, Charlotte really pissed me off with her unbelievable childishness. I began to question what qualities she had that Spencer found enticing. I certainly became very angry with Charlotte and her lack of any backbone.
Nonsensical really.
Spencer was deeply flawed but he deserved a better story. Charlotte just needed to grow up.

Good.

Didn't like this one as much as Mr. Masters because Charlotte annoyed me for too much of the book, but it was still a good listen full of growth and I loved Spencer.

Laugh and cry

TLSwan has the innate ability to make you laugh but then make you cry. Shane East with Sofia Lette are perfectly paired and amazing as they kept my emotions going wild. Spencer is charming and passionate and a dream come true for Innocent Charlotte and their love affair is perfect until his past as a player catches up with him. Loved this story and didn’t want it to end.

awful storyline

this book was hard to even finish. there was really no point to it at all. a guarded/sheltered 24 year old woman to not know anything in the real world then to start dating a massive man whore and fall in love with him in a week? don't bother with this book.
