I enjoyed the story thoroughly and was impressed by Anderson’s reading. I loved The Moonstone and have reread it many times as well as listening to the audio version. Wilkie Collins’ gift of characterization brings his books to life and continues to engage readers through the generations.

Anderson’s voice is a pleasure to listen to!

I don’t understand why Gillian doesn’t use her true accent, American, (she is from Chicago USA) instead of pretending to be English. Her fake British accent sounds terrible and fake. Plus the affected “sultry”, sibilant way she speaks is the equivalent of nails on chalkboards.

Gillian Anderson’s fake British accent is so grating it ruined the whole story.
