These are my top eight cozy mystery authors, whose series I always enjoy and always prefer to experience in audio. I like to feel cozied up with the character, as we—yes, we!—solve the crime together, and the best way to do that is to listen to the character.

Narcissistic main character, ignored sexual harassment/assault, homophobia . . . I guess we excuse it because it was written in the ‘80s or ‘90s?
And how is Michael EVERYWHERE? I thought he had a shop to run?
And sorry to the narrator but I kept picturing the main character as a 60 year old woman because that’s what the narrator sounds like. So when she’s involved in HER mother’s wedding, I thought Mom must be almost 90! Wrong.
Anyhow . . . I’ve never been so happy to hear “Audible hopes you enjoyed this . . . “. Even Audible couldn’t complete that sentence! It cut off before the end!
