Publisher's Summary

In the fall of 2021, Dr. Julie Ponesse saw her academic career of 20 years fall apart after she refused a Canadian university's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. This is her account of the battle and its aftermath, written with passion and intelligence.

But Dr. Ponesse's story travels beyond the personal and examines the ethical and philosophical dimensions of our pandemic response. If there is anyone out there who feels alone in the struggle to preserve personal choice and freedom, this audiobook offers some very human advice on how to move forward and makes it clear that your voice deserves to be heard.

Inspiring

When you contrast the courage and knowledge of Dr Ponesse against the thick curtain of cowardice coming from the leaders of our institutions today, you realize the need to stand up against today's modem Robber Barons. Thank you Dr Ponesse.

essential reading

essential reading for any Canadian concerned for the future of our democracy. Dr. Ponesses's graceful and deeply thoughtful approach to meeting one of the most troubling issues of our time is both admirable and inspiring.

Thank you Julie! You’re our only hope

Thank you for taking a principled stand as a conscientious objector!! We are all one, though they seek to convince us otherwise, all we as individuals have to do is see us for the whole that we are. Simultaneous oneness and difference!
