Publisher's Summary

I accidentally ended up in this dimension. I had nothing. I knew no one. I barely survived the journey but landed in the best possible place; an ancient society of vampire hunters with the medical means to put me back together. I can't go home, but I can use the extra-abilities I gained from slipping dimensions to work for Black Swan and try to keep my friends alive.

When it comes to love, I have options. The knight who saved my life is strength and honor personified. The sexy elf who thinks I'm his mate. And an incredibly attractive 600-year-old vampire. My name is Elora Laiken. This is my story.

Contains mature themes.

It's okay!

So... Where to begin... Without spoilers...

The timing is odd/off. The first 3/4ths of the book is slowly paced but intriguing. The last quarter seems to just try to quickly wrap things up without paying attention to timing. Just like one event. One event. One event. done!

That being said I strongly disagreed with the outcome of the HEA which is just a personal opinion. The author shifts the potential love interest too many times for too many reasons. I thought the person she ended up with should be the last one she should be with. Plus the whole book they make her into a strong independent character and the full 180 at the end.

All this... I enjoyed the majority of it. I finished it quite quickly because it has that effect on you. Where you'd like to know how it ends. Worth the read/listen. But not on par with Ward/Cole/Showalter
