Started as a typical sweet romance and just as the reader settles comfortably waiting for more sweetness, tragedy strikes. The story made me cry, and even though there is a happy ending that I loved, my heart still ached for what the protagonist had to face and it made me think of my own ties to my family. Chris Brinkley is a wonderful narrator, with a deep sexy voice thay can be either full of smiles or breaking with emotion depending on the situation, but today I discovered that he is a great writer as well. Can't wait for the next story he writes.
