À propos de cet audio

Being chosen by a magical sentient sword was definitely a life changing experience.

Becoming an adventurer is everyone’s dream, and Lucas Leonus has just achieved the first step by acquiring the Knight Class. Now, he and his sassy Archer childhood friend are determined to become great heroes!

But slaying weak monsters for essence and grinding for money is tedious work. The true excitement of his adventuring life only begins when he encounters an immensely powerful monster. Not because it can kill him in a single hit, but because he slays it with help from a quirky talking sword.

With his new found power, Lucas is destined for greatness. When a shy dragonkin Warrior comes seeking aid to save her home, he doesn’t hesitate to answer her call. Before he and his girls can set out on their adventure, however, they must clear a dungeon and overcome an ominous threat that will lay waste to his hometown.

Will Lucas and his girls prevail, or will they falter and see everything they love falls in ruins?

This is a haremlit litrpg book. If you don't know what either of those terms mean, you probably won't like it. That being said, it's not a bad book.

Our main character is a young man who has recently come of age. Along with his childhood friend and crush, he is beginning to be an adventurer. But soon after the novel begins, the duo encounter a deadly, mutated monster and only survive through a miracle - the MC finds an ancient talking magical sword, which will propel him to greatness.

The story itself isn't deep so far, but it's a good enough first novel. There's a lot of worldbuilding, both the numbers kind (although thankfully not super into listing character sheets) and the lore kind (the elves were all killed in a magical apocalypse that is definitely related to what's going on now). So far it's pretty generic RPG style, but charming despite that. The characters are mostly likeable, although there aren't a lot of them. Like many haremlits, this novel suffers from every attractive woman throwing themselves at the main character. It was much faster than I expected - in the first sex scene, when the main character and his crush finally get together, she talks about inviting other women into their relationship *during the act itself* which is, uh, pretty fast. But so far it's avoided other tropes, like having all the other men be somehow awful.

The voice acting is done by a pair of performers who do a fantastic job - characters are distinct from each other without seeming cartoony, and voices have passion in them. I would listen to them again!

The book was not the best one I've read, but it *was* an enjoyable read. I look forward to the author getting more experience in the future.

Enjoyable but not deep
