Right from the beginning, we are introduced to Avery who is not your typical FMC. She comes from a very bougie lifestyle and is stubborn and has her head high. Right away I knew she was going to be a character that I was going to grow to love. I love how this book didn’t start out as some romances do. After meeting Avery, finding out the situation she’s in and just watching the whole story unfold was so fun.

This book was HILARIOUS! I don’t think I have enjoyed a book with this humour in for a while. I loved the moments on this road trip. Avery really gets put to the test on not so bougie/typical things to her. The whole atmosphere of the road trip and the forced proximity was so entertaining. It was literally perfectly imperfect the way Avery and Jake found themselves in the situation.

I was literally laughing out loud in some sense. I feel like the both narrators truly brought Avery and Jake to life through this book.

My first five star read of 2023 and it couldn’t have been any better. I started off 2022 with a five star from Jewel E Ann and here we are once again. All hail Queen Jewel E Ann and her writing abilities.
