Publisher's Summary

You are about to learn about narcissism inside out, be able to spot narcissistic people and traits in your life, stop the narcissist in their tracks, become their worst nightmare, detach, and take back control of your life and thought process while keeping your sanity intact!

Compassion, presence, mutual respect, understanding, positivity, trust, sense of humor, compromise and compassion; all these qualities define what a healthy and fulfilling relationship looks and feels like. And if you are in such a relationship, you feel fulfilled, happy, and can’t wait to spend time with the other person.

But if you have a narcissist in your life, whether the narcissist is a parent, spouse, partner, sibling, friend, or a colleague, everything is the complete opposite of how a healthy relationship is supposed to be.

With narcissistic tactics like gaslighting, love bombing, isolation, neglect, exploitation, passive aggression, manipulation, emotional abuse and others being dished out 24/7 with complete lack of empathy, having any ounce of self-esteem and confidence left when you have a narcissist in your life is nearly impossible.

But it is not your fault so don’t feel bad about your situation; narcissists pre-select the people they dish their covert tactics on and groom their victims without their knowledge. In fact, 80 percent of people who are in a relationship with a narcissist don’t even know it.

But this doesn’t mean you can’t do anything about your situation. All you have to do is to know exactly what to do to face a narcissist head on and recover from their claws.

So what can you do to beat a narcissist at their game?

How can you unmask a narcissist even with their covert strategies?

How can you stop doubting your sanity and judgment so that you develop and sustain the resistance to break free from a narcissist?

How do you spot narcissistic tactics from being used on you?

How do you build the emotional intelligence to stop narcissistic advances from getting through to you?

If you have these and other related questions, this book is for you so keep reading, as it will empower you with knowledge to spot narcissistic tendencies and start your journey to recovery.

More precisely, the book will teach you:

  • The basics of narcissism, including what it is, who is a narcissist, and how to spot one in your life
  • The psychology of narcissists: what goes on in their minds to behave the way they do
  • How narcissistic tendencies develop
  • How a narcissist chooses his/her victim to manipulate, so that you understand how the narcissist in your life chose and groomed you over the years
  • How narcissism manifests itself in relationships and family
  • How narcissistic tendencies manifest in sexual relationships, including how different "weapons" are used
  • How to survive being in a relationship with a narcissist
  • How to separate yourself from a narcissist and take back control
  • And much, much more!

Setting yourself free from a toxic relationship with a narcissist might not be as easy as it sounds since they’ve mastered the art of deception, making you think you cannot survive without them.

Not helpful and quite frankly, insulting

My father passed away recently. He was emotionally abusive, neglectful, and caused me a great deal of psychological harm/anxiety. My mother selfishly tried to get the life insurance money out of my brother and I to finance her second divorce.

I went into this book hoping to learn more about my mother’s narcissism to help me reconcile with her as well as identify my own issues on the subject that my parents instilled in me.

The book started out well enough identifying my lack of empathy and selfish tendencies that have caused friction between my wife and I. It stated that my parents likely instilled my lack of self esteem and need for attention into me.

Then, the author lost me. Narcissists are terrible, manipulative, womanizing, selfish douche bags who are incapable of loving or being loved. My mother, according to the author, is a lost cause who can not be helped. I should leave my wife as I will always make her unhappy and am incapable of having a loving relationship. I should also probably just stop existing as I am making everyone around me miserable.

This book is an insult to anyone like me who is hoping to learn strategies or get new ideas on how to improve the relationships in their lives. The author is completely unqualified to give any sort of actual advice, so instead just writes about how bad narcissists are and how you should avoid them or cut them from your lives. She doesn’t any personal examples of her life dealing with a narcissist or any clinical situations on what to do in these situations.

The narrator was quite good. That’s the only reason I made it to the end of this book. Well spoken and entertaining. I hate books with robotic narrators and she was anything but.

Don’t read this book. It’s awful. Just stay away from douche bag people.
