I appreciate the effort

The first half of the book has good, if general, information. The author does write from experience and echoes good guidance that therapists would provide, and if you haven’t had therapy or watched videos/read books on the topic, you may find it valuable.

Unfortunately, much of the second half of the book focuses on alternative healing practices (reiki, crystals, acupuncture), spirituality, self hypnosis, etc. It does include the common solutions you likely hear about already (meditate, exercise, journal, etc.).

That said, I recognize that alternative things like crystals and reiki may provide you comfort and help, and if you are inclined towards them, you will find it useful.

If, however, you are looking for a deep, well researched, knowledge from a professional trained in evidence based therapy, counselling, etc. you may be disappointed.
