Great start to Series

I honestly could barely finish this trilogy. Feels like the books were written by 6 year olds who haven’t ever had human conversations and have super-hero complexes.

The main character is one of the least likeable characters ever written. Between knowing everything ever and the constant explaining & re-explaining every minute detail of his actions, the main character is unbearable. If you replaced every other character in the book with toddlers, his actions and dialouge would maybe make sense.

The performance is fine I guess. But between the narrators monotone delivery and the audio being slowed down, it’s like having a nursing home patient read you a book. Add that the story has a ridiculous amount of fluff in it, you find yourself spending 5 minutes listening to details about stuff that doesn’t matter. There are more descriptions of objects in here than the actual real manufacturers of those items use. Each book could easily be a chapter or two in a competent book. At 29 hours, this trilogy contains less action, and not violent actions but people actually doing anything, than a mediocre 8 hour post-apocalyptic book.

Between the hero-complex main character, mountains of fluff, and the story that seems to drag needlessly, honestly don’t understand how it got so many positive reviews elsewhere. Maybe if you think you are the smartest person in every room you are in, that everyone else is medically retarded and need to be explained everything in detail, and how you are the hero in every situation you are in, then maybe this book might be for you.

One of the worst. Ever. Apologies to the author
