About this listen

This program includes a bonus conversation with the author.

Nat Cassidy is at his razor-sharp best again with his horror novel Nestlings, which harnesses the creeping paranoia of Rosemary's Baby and the urban horror of Salem's Lot, set in an exclusive New York City residential building.

“This is the horror book of the year.”—Erika T. Wurth, author of White Horse

Ana and Reid needed a lucky break.

The horrifically complicated birth of their first child has left Ana paralyzed, bitter, and struggling: with mobility, with her relationship with Reid, with resentment for her baby. That's about to change with the words any New Yorker would love to hear—affordable housing lottery.

They've won an apartment in the Deptford, one of Manhattan's most revered buildings with beautiful vistas of Central Park and stunning architecture.

Reid dismisses disturbing events and Ana’s deep unease and paranoia as the price of living in New York—people are odd—but he can't explain the needle-like bite marks on the baby.

Five stars all around. As a voice over artist and wannabe author, oh, and lover of all things vampire, this was just lovely. From beginning to end, what a fresh, creative take on my fav horror monster

Creative and terrifying!

Really wanted to enjoy this. I just did not. I can’t really get into the why without spoilers and why the hell is there a 15 word minimum?

Narration was good. Book was not

I really enjoyed this book. the reviews were right when they compared to Salem's lot and rose Mary's baby, however don't let that think this story is unoriginal! it was a fantastic listen.

great story

Masterfully written and narrated. Finished in two days! A chilling tale of love and grief. I very much look forward to what new stories Nat Cassidy cooks up in the years to come.

Fantastic

Constant references to fox news and right wing nonsense. Trump gets mentioned (which is always in a bad light). Why do authors purposely alienate half of their potential readership? Keep it politics free unless it’s about politics!

Very biased writing
