Publisher's Summary

Sex crimes Detective Aiden Carlisle is slowly getting used to being in a committed relationship with Dawn Kinsley - a relationship that isn't always easy since Dawn is not only a psychologist but also a former victim in one of Aiden's cases. Aiden's private and professional lives collide when Dawn's newest patient gets in trouble with the law. Will she be able to stay objective enough to solve the case without pushing Dawn away?

The same case also throws Deputy District Attorney Kade Matheson's well-ordered life into chaos. In the last few years, Kade has taken case files and law books, not lovers, to bed. She has been focused on her career, but now the case forces her to finally face her attraction to women. She suddenly finds herself with two secret admirers, but which one is more dangerous - the threat to her life or to her heart?

Contains mature themes.

Great read

I did enjoy this book as much as I did the first one in this series. I was glad to see that the author took the time to explore a relationship between Del and Kade. It was well worth the read to watch Kade discover her new found feelings for Del. It was very well written and an excellent story If you liked the first book this is a great follow up

Third book is a charm

Loved this third book, and the fact that there was a short novella to conclude the story. I loved the story line with the suspense and the build up of the characters.
And what can I say about Abby Craden, she is a super narrator.

Great performance and story & novella.

Jae does it again. Deputy District Attorney Kade Mathewson is beginning to confront her attraction to women. Detective Aiden Carlisle and Psychologist Dawn Kinsley are getting used to a life together. Marvelous romance and adventure story. Wonderful performance. Recommend.

Looooooved it!

Excellent mix of social interactions mixed with a crime investigation. All characters are superbly developed and I can’t wait to read about baby Brienne or baby Aiden, or whatever they want to call it.

Excellent!

I loved Next of Kin. Wow! I did not see the surprise coming. Great story. Reminds us all about making a family with the people that love you. Abby Craden, still the best narrator in the business.
