Story
The festive season isn't always happy for Tori Spring and her brother, Charlie. And this year's going to be harder than most. I used to think that difficult was better than boring, but I know better now.... I’m not going to think about the past few months, about Charlie and me and all of the sad. I’m going to block it all out just for today. 'Happy Christmas,' I say.

Story
For Angel Rahimi life is about one thing: The Ark – a pop-rock trio of teenage boys who are taking the world by storm. Being part of The Ark’s fandom has given her everything she loves – her friend Juliet, her dreams, her place in the world. Jimmy Kaga-Ricci owes everything to The Ark. He’s their frontman – and playing in a band with his mates is all he ever dreamed of doing. But dreams don’t always turn out the way you think and when Jimmy and Angel are unexpectedly thrust together, they find out how strange and surprising facing up to reality can be.

Story
Georgia feels loveless - in the romantic sense, anyway. She’s 18, never been in a relationship, or even had a crush on a single person in her whole life. She thinks she's an anomaly, people call her weird and she feels a little broken. But she still adores romance - weddings, fan fiction and happily ever afters. After a disastrous summer, Georgia is now at university, hundreds of miles from home. She is more determined than ever to find love - and her annoying roommate, Rooney, is a bit of a love expert, so perhaps she can help.

When Andrew stumbles upon Jamie’s house, he’s injured, starved, and has nothing left to lose. A deadly pathogen has killed off most of the world’s population, including everyone both boys have ever loved. And if this new world has taught them anything, it’s to be scared of what other desperate people will do...so why does it seem so easy for them to trust each other? After danger breaches their shelter, they flee south in search of civilization. But something isn’t adding up about Andrew’s story, and it could cost them everything.

Very Gay Regency Romp
- By CKH Vancouver on 2022-02-14
Written by: Alexis Hall
Publisher's Summary
A short novella based on the beloved characters from Alice Oseman’s acclaimed debut novel Solitaire and graphic novel series Heartstopper – now a major Netflix series. From the author of the 2021 YA Book Prize winning Loveless.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?
CHARLIE: “I have been going out with Nick Nelson for two years. He likes rugby, Formula 1, dogs, the Marvel universe, the sound felt-tips make on paper, rain and drawing on shoes. He also likes me.”
NICK: “Things me and Charlie Spring do together include: Watch films. Sit in the same room on different laptops. Text each other from different rooms. Make out. Make food. Make drinks. Get drunk. Talk. Argue. Laugh. Maybe we're kind of boring. But that’s fine with us.”
Everyone knows that Nick and Charlie are the perfect couple – that they’re inseparable. But now Nick is leaving for university, and Charlie will be left behind at Sixth Form. Everyone’s asking if they’re staying together, which is a stupid question – they’re ‘Nick and Charlie’ for God’s sake!
But as the time to say goodbye gets inevitably closer, both Nick and Charlie question whether their love is strong enough to survive being apart. Or are they delaying the inevitable? Because everyone knows that first loves rarely last forever…
What the critics say
“The most honest and authentic account of modern teenage life that you’ll read this year...outstanding contemporary fiction with appeal to fans of John Green.” (The Bookseller)
"A very authentic, teenage voice." (Sunday Times)

Adorable
I adore Heartstopper so I was pretty much guaranteed to love this. Nick and Charlie are the cutest couple ever. Normally I don’t like books where the main conflict could have been easily avoided with just a conversation but this one felt very realistic. They’re both just high school students and the conflict was something a lot of high school kids go through.
The narrators were perfect. The accents felt real and not fake or forced the way they sometimes do in audio. They’re performances only added to the enjoyment.

Wonderful, Absolutely Wonnderful
This book is quite sad, but in a good way. Alice is quite the amazing author and knows what she is doing. I feel that the Audio book was actually a lot more intense, as the narrators put forth a lot of effort into this. Overall, the plot was amazing, and I wish the best of luck towards Alice:)
