Publisher's Summary
Press play on happily ever after in this charming, heartfelt holiday rom-com.
Nick Winters and Noel Carter have known each other their whole lives. After years of shared family holidays, working together on the Winters’ Christmas tree farm, and being each other's safe haven, they wouldn't dream of crossing the line from friends to something more....
But when Nick comes home for the holidays after serving overseas and finds that his long-term girlfriend has decided to get her stocking stuffed elsewhere, Noel is there to pick him up and show him that instead of a Blue Christmas he can still have a Wonderful Christmastime without his cheating ex.
A night on the town and an impulsive kiss later has Noel thinking that perhaps this year they’ll be rockin’ around the Christmas tree as a couple, but only if the ghost - er rather - girlfriend of Nick's Christmas past doesn’t decide to haunt their holiday....

Awful
This was terrible and terribly written. It wasn't about Christmas. It was about several vapid individuals who live in a town called Mistletoe. They're basically the all-white group of popular kids who basically peaked in high school and they all still live in their same home town working dead end jobs and loving it. They all want marital bliss, 2 kids and the white picket fence in the same home town. Boring and dull.
Nick and Noel are best friends who come to realize they want to be more than best friends. But of course they have to talk to each other and with all their friends about their feelings for 80% of the book because that's interesting to read.... not.
The book was published in 2021 but it was obviously written in the '90s. All the music mentioned is from the mid-'90s and earlier. None of the technology is from the 2020s. It's strange, to say the least.
This was a real dud for me. The narrator was pretty good, though.

Holiday Feels
This is a good romance set during the holidays – which plays an important role in the story. This story has all the feels – both around the holidays and loss. Grief and friendship are themes that run through the story and how loss is dealt with.
I very much enjoyed Nick and Noel. They are such interesting and relatable characters. These friends turned lovers find acceptance and their “home” in each other and through their love. I enjoyed most of the side characters and found that they added to the fabric of the story. There were a couple that were good for the roles that they were cast in.
Noel lost her parents prior to Christmas when she was a teenager and it still affects her life choices today. For those experiencing their own grief journey, this is one of those books to read when you are in a good emotional place as it will tap into your emotions tied to grief.
I listened to this book on audio and very much enjoyed it. The narrators are easy to understand regardless of what speed I listened to them at.

A Great Christmas Read
This was a wonderfully light and fluffy story - very much like a Hallmark Christmas movie, in the best possible way. Plus it had the added bonus of some very sexy scenes which I had not expected (neither had my husband who was in the room while I was listening to it but hadn’t been paying attention, until some specific language caught his attention!
I look forward to reading about Nick’s sisters next!

Meh.
If you want a light little fluffy book to have on in the background or fall asleep to, this is it. You knew how it would end within the first chapter and there weren’t really any plot twists. So you can absolutely fall asleep to it and not really miss anything.
But it was free and it got me through a shift at work 🤷🏻♀️

LOOK UP NICK AND NORAHS INFINITE PLAYLSIT
I Am all for authors being inspired by other authors and nearly copying the story. Because if it’s something enjoyable and people, us readers aka, love it- then why not write a similar story.
But what is upsetting is it is nearly identical in the storyline- and not just the usual girl meets boy etc. No the literal storyline and the soundtrack to the story and everything. Nick and Norahs infinite playlist is a famous book and movie.
So while this author is talented and I’d love to see what they come up with- please give credit where credits do. When everyone keeps saying to make this a movie all I can think is IT ALREADY IS. It’s okay to be inspired and write because of it. It takes talent to do that regardless, a lot of it. But don’t nearly copy a story and not be honest that it was inspired by someone else’s. Authors need to support eachother. It is a specially unique storyline that stands out and same with the title so it’s something that can’t be denied. Just please next time give credit. I think it’s great for people to write similar books since us readers love the book of course we want mire. Just don’t lie because I’m sure you wouldn’t be happy if you came up with a unique story that became a movie just for someone to write nearly the identical thing and not give any credit to the fact they clearly based it off yours. Then they get credit that already is out there. People respect honesty more. The movie could still be made of yours. Books still sold. But honesty is key here. Still you are a good writer and I think you can do great things if honest going forward

Needs more fun, less foul.
Didn’t get very far into this book before I had to give it up. I’ve heard worse language, but there were an awful lot of the “little” swear words in the first couple chapters. It just didn’t feel like a fun little Christmas RomCom, which is what I was hoping for.

More Please!
I absolutely love Nick and Noel’s story! Besides being a delightful couple, their entire storyline is not only believable, but absolutely addictive! This book ended way too soon. I would love to follow this couple into the future as well as learning more about some of the other characters of Mistletoe.

Sweet
These 2 are adorable. They are friends from a young age. Noel was going to try and take their friendship further but it wasn't ment to be at that moment. Things happen for a reason. But they did reconnect when the timing was right.
When they had their big fight, I was frustrated with how Noel handled it but it's because of her hurt past. The loss of her parents made it hard for her to look forward to a normal happy life without them.
This story was written and narrated very well.
Mixed taped are a thing of the past. They should be brought back. It shows someone how you feel for them because of how much time it took to put it together.

Disappointing
Predictable outcome from the beginning. Excessive whining. Drawn out storyline with repetitions of teenage type angst. Atrocious language.

Not good.
I could only listen for a few hours. Just a stupid book. Foul language; but with a Junior High school mentality.

Cute
It was cute but trite, following common story lines. Worth it as a feel good story. Not worth it if you want to feel like you've grown from your time listening.

great find!
I loved this book. I never leave reviews on books, but this one was different. I wanted to cry and laugh through the whole thing. The narrators did a fantastic job making this book come to life and I could picture the whole thing as I listened. I highly recommend this book, especially if you're looking for a heart warming, humorous story.
