1st book good, 2nd was matted with disgruntled knots

1st book was good and a free listen. 2nd I purchased. It felt like someone pressured and hammered the author to rush through character development and storylines. Too bad. The chasms left behind were hard to digest even in apocalypse genre. I only finished 2nd book because I paid for it.
