Iced tea shop proprietor Everly Swan lands in hot water when a wealthy groom-to-be is found dead outside her cafe.

Everly Swan's iced tea shop has quickly become a favorite in the quaint seaside community of Charm, North Carolina. Thanks to an unusually busy tourist season, word of her delectable creations has traveled all the way to Martha's Vineyard, swaying an old friend and her high-profile fiance to tie the knot on the beach right outside Sun, Sand, and Tea.

When the couple requests that Everly cater the entire event, she is thrilled to accept the offer - and all the wonderful exposure that's sure to come with it. But before the wedding bells can ring, Everly finds the groom's body heading out with the tide. and it's up to Everly to catch the culprit!

Superb writing and excellent narration audio

I started a good-for-me walking program in April 2020. The general concept of walking for the sake of walking does not thrill me in the least. But, I decided to plug into audio books to give my walking routine a reason and interest to carry on. I love a good cozy murder mystery, so of course that genre was my choice for audio books to listen to. I went through several different ones until I stumbled (not really, I am still walking and am okay) across the audio books by Bree Baker, narrated by Therese Plummer. As a result, it takes extreme effort on my part to stop the audio at the end of my walk and reserved any further listening for walking times only. Bree Baker's writing is superb! I am an amature writer and have been published, but Bree's writing style is so amazing that my thoughts of attempting to write a cozy mystery myself have been ruined by ever thinking I could achieve anywhere near the same sort of balance of storyline with description of scene and characters as she does in her books. Now for me at the end of each audio book there is no other choice but to select the next book in the Seaside Café mystery series. On a side note, I would like to mention that this series in itself is a great read, but for an audio book the voice over narrator actor can make it or break it for me. Therese Plummer's performance of narrating this book was phenomenal! Her acting skills of giving the story and character's life doesn't just voice the words on a page, but transforms you into the settings of the story that gives you an illusion of actually being there yourself. I hope there are many more to come in this series because they have made my good-for-me walking program actually good and enjoyable.
