Didn't love it, didn't hate it

I feel just kind of meh about this book and the one before. The story line is all over the place and while I do like the female character and her growth at times, the male character is incredibly annoying. In my opinion he needs to be medicated for some sort of personality disorder and he is given way too many chances. Sure read it to get through to the next ones...but it was a bit of a chore and 2 books were not needed to tell the story.
