Publisher's Summary

Fire and ice. Oil and water. Vodka and decisions. That's what Darren McCoy and Wren Davison are: two opposites that shouldn't mix well. Dare believes in fairy tales, true love, and happily ever after. Wren believes in fast cars, freedom, and no-strings sex. What can these two men possibly have in common? A magnetic pull strong enough to obliterate logic and reason.

For more than a year, Dare and Wren have worked together at the Curl Up and Dye Salon. Dare has pursued the mysterious, brooding man, and Wren has resisted his provocative charm. Then one day, something happens that allows the men to see each other in a new light. Wren learns that Dare hides a heavy heart behind his brilliant smile. Dare realizes that beneath Wren's gruff exterior beats the heart of a prince.

Passions ignite once the men stop fighting their attraction, but will it be enough to overcome their differences? Is Wren the prince that Dare is looking for? Can Dare teach Wren that true love does exist?

Contains mature themes.

Loved it

4.5 Blue Roses
4 Blue Flames

Narrator Joel Leslie delivered a sweet and slightly funny little tale about an extremely good hearted and strong willed young man. He adores his “prince charming”, but it turns out his prince charming is need of some lessons in the meaning of family and true love. The kind that would never fade away, once he gives his heart the right man, Dare.

Joel was able to to reach deep inside of my heart, I was heavily invested in this story and listened to it in one sitting. These two guys are so in lust with each other, they play constant cat and mouse games, until one of them decided to stop chasing, of cause the other would wonder: “what the fuck now?”

I love this series and highly recommend it. It has some deeper struggles and overcoming those struggles, sprinkled with good humorous moments, as done expertly by Joel Leslie.

Joel Leslie’s narration was phenomenal!

This was the most fun book to listen to! Joel Leslie was like a full cast of characters rolled into one person and it made this book come to life. The snarkiness, broodiness, even grandpa‘s voice everything was amazing and not just read, it was like listening to an actual performance.

This was a low angst book and the focus stayed on the main characters. It was very enjoyable.

I will say I listened to this book at 1.2x speed.
