Publisher's Summary

THE INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

“I like to think of Not All Diamonds and Rosé as the ultimate reunion. I know readers will be surprised, entertained, and even shocked at what’s in store." —Andy Cohen

Dave Quinn's Not All Diamonds and Rosé is the definitive oral history of the hit television franchise, from its unlikely start in the gated communities of Orange County to the pop culture behemoth it has become—spanning nine cities, hundreds of cast members, and millions of fans.

What is it really like to be a housewife? We all want to know, but only the women we love to watch and the people who make the show have the whole story. Well, listen in close, because they’re about to tell all.

Nearly all the wives, producers, and network executives, as well as Andy Cohen himself, are on the record, unfiltered and unvarnished about what it really takes to have a tagline. This is your VIP pass to the lives behind the glam squads, testimonials, and tabloid feuds.

Life’s not all diamonds and rosé, but the truth is so much better, isn’t it?

“This exhaustive oral history features dishy interviews with 185 cast and crew members behind the Bravo phenomenon. Fans will delight to read about how it all got started.”

What the critics say

“[Not All Diamonds and Rosé] spills the tea (or the rosé, if you prefer) on the reality empire with extensive reporting from the series' casts, producers, executives, and more.” (Entertainment Weekly)

“As sweeping as it is scandalous.... Fans will drink this up as quickly as the Housewives would a glass of champagne.” (Publishers Weekly)

“This exhaustive oral history features dishy interviews with 185 cast and crew members behind the Bravo phenomenon. Fans will delight to read about how it all got started, which fired housewives are angriest with Andy Cohen - and a shocking, never-before-revealed incident that happened when the New Jersey cast went to Punta Cana. No wonder the book sold out after it was first released.” (New York Post)

Entertaining overall

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this, although the voice impersonations were both hilarious and irksome - some were definitely better than others. One in particular made the housewife sound completely sauced. But then again maybe she was!

Lift your spirits with Not All Diamonds and Rosé

I’m a full blown Bravoholic and this book offered SO many hot takes and peeks behind the Bravo curtain. Amy Phillips impressions made me giggle throughout the book. The format took a hot second to adapt to but was effortless and such a fun listen. So glad I opted to wait for the audio book, it was my first and definitely not my last!

Addictive!

Took a second to get used to the format, but couldn’t stop listening. 20 hours of this doesn’t seem to be enough!

Amy Phillips makes mostly known information fresh

Amy Phillips nails the narration of Not All Diamonds and Rosé. It is an interesting look at the rise of the Docu-soap gene and the making of what Bravo is today. I would love a follow-up that looks at Bravo's other shows like Below Deck, Summer House, Vanderpump Rules and Million Dollar Listing. (Maybe get the Watch What Crappens Guys to voice that audiobook)

The only thing to be aware of is that Phillips doesn't voice the Black Franchises (For obvious reasons as Phillips is a white woman). Which is understandable, she still takes care with her infliction so you are aware it is another housewife.

Overall Phillips was a Chef's kiss bringing a lot of life into the book. I was giggling a lot. Well worth considering the audio book vs the book.

Nothing New

Boring and long to be honest , there are other housewives books more interesting, this book does not tell you anything everyone already knows
