Description
Gemma Summers is unlucky in love. I liked the story!
Didn’t really like the narrator, especially at the beginning she sounded aggressive and unpleasant. But then it got a bit better.
The story is very good! I laughed and sometimes my heart went fast, it was good! Finished it in 2 days!
P.S. Was weird to hear when all the man especially the security guy would call girls “babe” but maybe it’s a thing wherever they are.

Good dynamics, strong characters
Not the biggest fan of the narration. While it seems kind of wooden at first, it gets better and more natural as the book progresses.
I'm surprised the story has such a low rating, though. Yes, Chase is rather forward in a few situations but he has good reasons and would never force Gemma into anything about which she was adamant, unless her own decisions put her in serious danger. Unlike another review implied, he is quite respectful in a protective way. The dynamics of the main characters seem very reasonable to me.
If the following books are better than this one (if the reviews are anything to go by) it seems I've found a wonderful series!

The feminist in me was rolling her eyes
This comment is to be considered for the entire serie. Lots of macho man telling women what to do. It does try to make the women "independent" by making them disagree with the men, but in some way they are also a bit dumb. With that being said, I do enjoy rom-com so I did listen to the entire serie. The 5 books are really light reads, perfect to do something else at the same time.

Kiss-Cam Awesomness
Gemma is strong willed but sweet, and Chase is the hero she deserves. Cue a rich boy with a heart of gold and protector tendencies. Their love story is one that includes tons of giggles and fun, but with a bit of complications and mystery to keep it from being too sweet.

Cute as a standalone. Rest of series is meh.
This was a cute audiobook. Narration is great. I was put off with how domineering the MMC is & how ditsy the FMC acts, it’s a romcom, so some level of flightiness is expected.
REST OF SERIES: I did not enjoy the other books in the series (books 2 & 3 has poor narration, book 4 drones on with unending backstories & inner dialogue, didn’t bother with the others)
