Publisher's Summary

Magic-less witch Violet Maxwell wants nothing to do with alpha wolf shifter Lincoln Thorne - the man who broke her fragile teenage heart. But when the two of them are forced by arcane Supernatural Laws to find mates, Violet and Lincoln agree to fake-date their way to a fake-mating in order to conjure themselves some time. The joke’s on them.

When old feelings make a reappearance - along with Violet’s magic - they both realize there’s nothing fake about their feelings. But there are old secrets and looming threats that could snatch away their happily ever after, again. One thing’s for sure: Magic doesn’t make dating and love any easier.

In this start to a bewitching new paranormal series about being sexy, single, and supernatural in New York City, April Asher brings all the hilarity and sweet, sexy moments you love in a romantic comedy - plus a fun dose of magic.

Paranormal Romance perfection.

This book was such a fun read, and the audiobook is so good! It’s narrated by Zura Johnson, who is incredible to listen to.

Meet the Maxwell Dud, Violet, who, by supernatural council decree must find a supe to witch-bond to, even though she doesn’t have witchy powers that would need anchoring. The law is the law. Enter her ex-love Alpha Lincoln Thorn, who broke her heart years ago. He, by council decree, must also find a mate. And so the two, despite Violet’s despise of the wolf, decide to create a fake relationship to keep the council off their backs while they work to counter the council’s decrees.

This story is so wonderfully and hilariously written and performed. I binged this book over a couple days because there is so much that happens. Misbehaving magic, alpha BDE, and a sisterhood bond that is unshakeable. And lets not forget the sparks that fly between Violet and Lincoln.

If you are looking for a book to kick off the witchy fall season, this is an excellent choice!

Main character obsessed with her own boobs.

This reads like something written by a man who got in an argument with a woman and insisted he could totally write a best-selling romance book for women because women are stupid and like trash. Got 9 chapters in hoping for the plot to start but all I got was more boob description. I have no idea what the mc looks like but I could pick her out topless in a line up.
