About this listen

I spilled a cup of coffee on the president of acquisitions. He deserved it.

Not the brightest idea, but I'd had a bad day, and now he's getting back at me.

For nine weeks I'm to be his assistant, and there's nothing I can do about it. It's punishment. Every moment we're near each other it's a constant battle of wills, but I refuse to go down.

If only he wasn't so good looking. If only my fantasies didn't invade our arguments.

Everything is off the cuff, including him pinning me to the wall.

Now he wants something else from me. A date. There's just one problem - he doesn't know I have a child.

Contains mature themes.

I enjoyed this romantic story. It was the first romance book I've listened to in a while that accurately depicted abandonment issues. Although both characters have flaws, the character development didn’t seem juvenile. It seemed to drag a bit in a couple places but I was pleased the character development of the baby was accurate. The author did a great job of incorporating her character into the story. ...very cute. This held my attention. Both narrators have their strengths but I do wish we heard more of the female narrator than we did.

I really liked this story until the 3rd act break up, all of a sudden the FML became a total idiot after chapters of her being honest and open, one look at his ex and she turns into a whinny, self flagellating fool, leaving the MML for no reason, and making everyone miserable. I sped through till she came to her senses because it was so annoying, so very forced. I nearly threw my phone when she said she didn’t need a sugar daddy and he couldn’t buy them. There was never any reason for her to say or think that. He had from the minute he found out about the baby done everything right ( with some silly misunderstandings. Stories like this is why I dislike stories with kids, they are weak plot movers. Anyway the break up wasn’t prolonged and the FML realized her mistakes and asked for forgiveness. Loved Thane, Ro could have been better.
