À propos de cet audio

Old Scroll Ranger by Chris Brewer is essential history for anyone interested in knowing the history of the modern-day Ranger and more importantly, understanding the personality and inner core of its members. As a new non-Ranger Grunt, Chris takes us on his personal journey through the creation of the unit to its maturity as the leading edge of our Nation’s forces.

The ethos of the Rangers and the Super Glue of personal responsibility and clear discipline of being a Ranger are well documented. The personal pain and later pride of this journey is superbly narrated. The many things, hidden to outsiders and nearly lost in history, are well described. These created what a Ranger is, both individually and as units. Ninety percent of what it takes to be a Ranger is lost on the general public-Chris makes these abundantly clear and highly significant on the path to maturation and combat excellence.

I cannot recommend this more. For the first time, we have a clear descriptive of the internal glue that became the modern day Ranger and Ranger Battalions. What Ranger Brewer experienced and his own personal journey are alive and well in the present Rangers and he shows the way. COL Keith Nightingale, US Army (Retired) Author of “The Human Face of D-Day”, “Phoenix Rising”, “Just Another Day in Vietnam”, and “A Soldier Looks Back”.
