Story
When Raini desperately needed help, she went to the one person who she knew could save her dying friend...her secretive and ruthlessly powerful anchor, Maddox. His price was that she grant him access to her life, yet he's still determined not to form the anchor bond with Raini. That rejection stings, even while she can't stop her body - or her demon - reacting to his presence.

It will mean leaving behind her brother and her home. It will also mean working with Pagori vampire Salem McCauley. Unlike the majority of vampirekind, she doesn't fear Mr. Tall, Blond, and Dauntless...even if he does have some psychopathic traits. Publisher's Summary
She's the one thing he can't control....
Keenan is the mistake Khloe knows she shouldn't make. As an incubus, he's got an inside track into everything that makes her tick, and even though she's immune to his supernatural (and frankly unfair) sex appeal, that doesn't stop her body - and her demon - craving him. If it were any other male she'd have worked it out of her system ages ago and moved on, but this time she's scared that if she ever gives in, she won't escape unscathed.
Since Keenan's traumatic childhood, he's made sure he's always in control. Of himself and of the world around him. But Khloe drives Keenan crazy. She's an imp, so getting under people's skin is basically her job description, but Khloe makes him - and his body - respond in ways he's never known.
After a bet escalates the simmering tension between them, it's finally game on...and then the game turns deadly serious. A threat appears that could threaten the whole lair, and Keenan's desperate to protect Khloe any way he can - but will she accept his claim, and can he accept the power she has over him?

Narrator improvement
as usual the story was really good it was fun and interesting had a couple of good twists but the most notable thing about this audiobook was the narrator was good the cartoon voices were brought to a minimum they were still out there enough that you knew this was the original version but not so out there as to be off-putting.
There are some production issues there's a point when the narrator is clearly talking to someone outside of the booth that could have been cleaned up.
I would definitely recommend this book

Whoops!
. I’ve been waiting for Chloe story for a while, so I was thrilled when this book released.
I would give this a 5 stars if it weren’t for the production errors. There were times when the narrator repeated entire sentences over and over, as if they’d taken a break and forgotten where they left off. There was even a spot where it sounded like they were speaking to somebody outside the booth in the background and then came back to the narration, but they forgot to edit those bits out.

Good story. But more than once there was some random words in the story. For example at the end of chapter 18. I’m sure it’s not in the book, but it’s in the audio. Repeated sentences and ransoms words.

Definitely worth a credit!
I like all the characters in the Dark series and this is a great new addition. Baby Asher is really surprising and I can't wait to see what other powers he has. I thought the paranormal fight scenes in this book were great with hell fire being thrown all around. Bring on the next couple and keep the action coming!

🌻I even shed a tear or two😭🌻!
🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
This chapter of the, Dark in You series, is a lot like the previous books. The Hero and Heroine have been dancing around and denying their attraction, towards one another, for years. They both have emotional scars that affect their ability to share a truly intimate relationship, with another. However, a bet placed, between the two, starts them down a common path. Unfortunately, a threat against the Heroine, makes the Hero start to acknowledge his true feelings. During this relationship dance, tragedy strikes, and they both are forced to acknowledge that they may have waited too long. Regret is always a bitter pill to swallow.
The books, in this series, all have graphic, detailed sex scenes, that may make some people uncomfortable; but it’s usually this way in SW’s books. The characters are demons, so there is also a lot of violence and foul language. In addition, these books are not good stand alone books. If a listener hasn’t listened, from book one, they will be very confused about this demonic world. However, if you have enjoyed SW’s shifter series, you will likely enjoy this series, also.

All the stars for Aunt Mildred!
I have loved Khloe's character since book 1. Her brand of wit, sarcasm and humor is just my jam. I love Khloe's carefree attitude. This book had me laughing out loud from the first chapter. Khloe's character is a balance of humor, fierce badassery and good heart. Keenan took his sweet sweet time with Khloe.
The only thing that I did not like about this story was the fact that Keenan rested the pressure of defeating the enemy on Knox's shoulders, hence giving their years of friendship a big big gap. It was understandable, but I feel like as the male protagonist and an alpha, Keenan should have had more role in defeating the enemy instead of passing on the burden to Knox.
This book opens up a good precursor to Raini and Maddox's story.
And really, I want more of Aunt Mildred!

Loved the story
Omens is the perfect follow book in the Dark in you series. Chloe and Keenan is pure magic. I stated laughing as soon as the first few words were spoken.
The good of the book.
Chloe is a gem. She is an extremely complex which is quite the surprise. Chloe has been presented as the airhead danger seeking troublemaker. She was seen as a danger to herself with no sense of responsibility or focus. Man you would be majorly surprised to find out that Chloe is not just funny and ditzy. she is caring and compassionate. Extremely talented and fiercely independent. Love her.
Keenan is more than a pretty grouchy face. He is emotional and loving. It was great seeing Keenan being more than Knox's Sentinel. I was happy to see him willing defer his role to others so that he could be there for Chloe.
This book offers many surprises and continuation of storylines. Of course all of the series favorites make an appearance especially Lu. It is worth adding to your library.
Here is the problem there is repetition in the audio mostly near the end of chapters. However the biggest flaw is Cat has a conversation with someone in the middle of the audio around the 10:09:22 section of the audio that was not edited out. That is the only flaw that I have outside of disjointed relationship with Teague and the introduction of Maddox.

I prefer this series out of all of Wright's works. The narrator is good and is consistent through all of the books. This is the first one where the editor bugged and there are two errors which unfortunately distract.
