Story
There are a million reasons why Miles Hart isn't the man I should date but allow me to enumerate the top three: He's friends with my brother; he's a single dad; and he's a sexy, in-demand rock star. He might as well wear an off-limits, totally unavailable, and don't-even-attempt-to-ride-this-ride sign. And there's one more little itty-bitty thing - he's never asked me on a date. That is, until he asks me to be his plus-one when his band plays at his high school reunion. It shouldn't be a big deal. After all, we're just friends, and no one is giving us our own hashtag. Except me....

Story
That smoking hot one-night stand with a former rock star? Turns out, he's my son's new teacher. Oops. But I didn't know that the night I met Campbell. All I knew was he played my body the same way he played a guitar - like he owned it. My libido is still high-fiving me after being self-served for too many years, and we're both ready for another night or two of fun, especially since we don't just have chemistry in bed - we connect over everything. That is, until I learn he's the man who'll be coming to my house twice a week to teach my son the best music lessons money can buy.

Story
I'm breaking up with setups. No more “you should meet my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn.” People mean well, but machines know better, so I'll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find my ideal man, thank you very much. Soon enough, it looks like I’ve found him - his screen name is Lucky Suit, and he’s hilarious, quick-witted, and full of heart. But when we finally get together in person, I have the distinct feeling I’ve met him before. Funny enough - he says the same thing about me.

Story
Picture this - I’m ready to win back the love of my life, and I’m going big this time. We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops. There’s only one little problem. My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune. The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore.

Jane Black has written the breakup album of the century, earning her a Grammy, a huge legion of new fans, and the pressure to repeat her success. Sure, the heartbreak from her husband's unconventional abandonment might have been her inspiration, but it hasn't done her any favors in the dating department. So when Matthew Harrigan, the toughest music journalist out there, asks for an interview, Jane agrees - as long as her personal life is completely off-limits. British, gorgeous, and way too tempting, Matthew's the first guy Jane's been attracted to since her husband.

Story
Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning. I was late for the first day at my new job - a job I’d now have to compete for, even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars - except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine. Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine.

We met in the least likely of places. It started out innocently enough. I was “ScreenGod”, and she was “Montana”, but of course those weren’t our actual names, just the virtual cloaks we hid behind. Logging in at night and talking to her was my escape - my sanctuary. Her real name was Eden, I’d soon come to find out. From the first time we connected online, I found myself transfixed. She was an addiction. At first, we knew nothing about each other’s real identities...and she was adamant that we keep things that way.

Story
Fire captain and bar owner Becker Thomas usually spends his nights alone, trying to escape painful memories from his past. When he meets a sexy, free-spirited brunette outside his bar, he knows he's found the perfect way to forget for one night. But when he discovers the woman he wants back in his bed is his best friend's sister, everything comes to a halt.
Publisher's Summary
It's so easy being best friends with a gorgeous, talented, charming guy.
Said no woman ever. Except me.
My friendship with Miller is a sure thing - he’s my plus one, my emergency contact, and my shoulder to lean on. He’s also been by my side helping me raise one helluva awesome kid who’s the center of my world.
Nothing will change our easy breezy friendship. Until I have the bright idea to convince him to start a new band with me.
Trouble is, our sizzling chemistry in the recording studio is getting harder to ignore, no matter how risky it might be.
***
Sing sexy songs with the woman you’ve been lusting after? Get up close and personal as you croon to the woman you’ve wanted for years?
Piece of cake.
NOT.
Performing with the sweet, sassy and insanely wonderful Ally is like one gigantic obstacle course of challenges for my libido. And my libido is one sexy love song away from kissing her senseless and taking her home.
But, I’m not a serious kind of guy, and she’s not a one-night-stand kind of woman. If we cross the horizontal line, we might risk our sure thing and end up out of tune forever....

✫✫ 4.5 Stars ✫✫
Lauren Blakely once again gives us a fun loving, sexy, low drama book that will leave you feeling lighthearted and happy. I love that I can always listen to a LB book as a sort of "pallet cleanser" from all the serious, high drama & heartbreaking books I read. No matter what mood I'm in, a Lauren Blakely book always fits perfectly.
This book is a great friends to lovers stand alone book that is part of the Heartbreakers series. This is something I love about this type of writing, even though they are all connected, you can listen to only one of them and it won't feel like you missed anything and listening to them all just adds a little extra to your experience. Miller & Ally have a great friendship. I loved their chemistry, the banter and the honesty between them. I also love how there really is no drama, not even a misunderstanding. That for me is huge! I really enjoy books with mature characters and this series is exactly that. I also have to add that Ally is a "Single Parent" and that always works for me. Seeing how the other character related with the kid and how well they handle not coming first but second behind a child always melts my heart. They melted my heart with their selflessness about so many things. I am so looking forward to book 3 and really hope Miller & Ally have a larger roll in it too.
The narration was perfect! That's not really a surprise since it's Andi & Sebastian but what was a surprise was the Erin Mallon cameo during a text conversation. I loved that! I actually went back and listened to it 4 times because I just knew that was Erin Mallon's voice and not Andi Arndt. Very cool little bit of excitement add as a special bonus for us serious audiobook addicts ;)

Let's Make Beautiful Music Together
Friends to lovers is one of my very favorite tropes and Once Upon a Sure Thing did not disappoint! Sebastian York and Andi Arndt once again are amazing and I loved their performances as Miller and Ally. It was fun to have them voice such playful characters. They balance the sweet so well with the sexy! The cameo by Erin Mallon was such a treat too! I was completely surprised to hear her voice during the text exchanges between Macy and Ally. Such a wonderful gift for listeners!
Ally and Miller were such a sweet and sexy couple. I loved their banter and all the little things they did for each other. Their chemistry was always simmering right under the surface and it made the eventual boil over so delicious. The easy nature of their relationship and the deep love they shared for each other made them such a wonderful pair. Miller's dirty mouth didn't hurt too ;) Yes, there is some push and pull as these two wrestle with their feelings and fears of ruining their friendship, but I really liked that the drama wasn't overblown and resolved in a way that felt true to their original relationship. Above all else, Miller and Ally are friends through it all.
Once Upon a Sure Thing was a sweet and light friends to lovers romcom and I'm excited to see what Lauren Blakely has in store for us next with the youngest Heartbreaker, Miles!

Fantastic!!
Once Upon A Sure Thing is another spectacular book from Lauren Blakely. We first meet Miller and Ally in Once Upon A Real Good Time. Miller and Ally are best friends. They are connected by their love of video games, bananagrams, and music. This book is fun, flirty, and sexy. Miller and Ally find themselves wanting to explore more than just their amazing friendship. You must read this friend to lovers romance to find out what happens if they cross that line. 5 fantastic stars!!
Sebastian and Andi’s narration really bring this book to life!

Making good music!
This series is getting better and better.Just when I thought the brother I loved was Campbell, I get to hear Miller's story. This friends to lovers romance does have a few twists. Though Ally and Miller have been best friends for 6 years, there are still some things Miller doesn't know about Ally. When he goes in search of a female singing partner, and Ally shows up for her audition, Miller is starstruck! Who is this woman? Not the one that tries to sing with him at Christmas! This unlikely duo is full of funny banter, true friendship and intense passion that just keeps getting hotter as the story goes on. Blakely can write the best stories, and with this one I found myself entranced in their music making, as well as their evolving relationship. Throw in the cameos with Campbell and Mackenzie as well as Miles and we have that feel good listen that just warms the heart. I can't wait for Miles's story next!
Narrated by the talents of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, I knew it would flow from my ears to my heart. This team can make a story come to life and have it stick with you even when it's finished. A cameo appearance by Erin Mallon makes it even the better! A great combination for this series.

when bff admit and find true love
Miller and Ally have been best friends for a long time...they've been there for each other through relationships, heartbreaks, etc. They're each other's 'plus one', emergency contacts and the like. They will never do anything to mess up that type of bond...will they? Miller, who was once part of a popular teen band with his brothers, wants to start his own band. Except this time he wants a female partner. His brothers suggest Ally but, after a couple of crash n burn incidents with previous band members/friends, Miller does not want to risk his friendship with Ally. The proof is in the audition though, and Miller picks Ally to be his band partner. There is an underlying chemistry between the duo that they're finding harder to ignore. Will they risk their friendship over a fling? This book was chocked full of witty banter between the main and sub characters. Ally is also guardian to her 11 yo niece, since the passing of her sister 6 yrs ago. Their interaction is sweet and heartwarming. You can't help but love all of the characters in this book/series! We eventually have an HEA as well as a glimpse into the next book...yay!

Another amazeballs love story from the queen of RomCom
Absolutely loved this story, but that’s no surprise since I love Lauren Blakely’s books so very much. She’s my number one go to author for happy, swoon worthy, giggling good time love stories.
I may be in love with Miller, at least until I get my hands (or ears) onto Miles’ story next 😘
I feel so lucky to be able to hear or read Lauren’s books on release day. I feel like she’s fantastic at getting the MPOV in her stories and she obviously puts her heart into all her stories.
As for the narration. How can anyone not fall in love with any characters done by this awesome dual. I can listen to Andi Arndt and Sebastian York endless and every day.
Treat yourself with an amazing time with another fantastic book from the Queen of RomCom.

Hot Stuff and Friendship
I don't know how Lauren Blakely does it by making each book better than the previous. I so enjoyed this friends to lovers story of Ally and Miller. This is definitely a feel good listen that has chemistry, heat, humor, and endearing characters. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt continue to amaze me with their talent. The details that the author includes in the story add sparkle and magic to the characters. This Heartbreakers series is so good! I found the bananagrams to be especially fun, and loved how the characters prioritize family first.

5 #Hotstuff Stars!
I am a huge fan of friends to lovers romance and I absolutely loved Ally and Miller's story! They have been best friends for over six years and have suppressed their feelings of attraction. Now that they have a chance to sing together, their chemistry ignites, and makes it impossible to ignore. There is so much at stake for them, and others if they fail, but they're powerless to resist any longer. Ally and Miller are both great characters. They are kind, thoughtful, funny, and love their families completely. Ally is raising her niece after the sudden loss of her sister, and is totally devoted to her. Miller has been there for them both from the beginning, unconditionally. Their relationship has always been natural and easy. But now that they discovered their voices are perfect together, that easiness has turned into something more passionate, and powerful. Wow, the heat that Blakley creates between Ally and Miller is so palpable it leaps right off the page! I loved the evolution and allure of their relationship, it was totally captivating. The quick wit and banter between them and their friends and family is as fun as ever. It was all delivered flawlessly by the amazing performances of Sebastian York, and Andi Arndt. Their varied voices, comedic timing, and inflections deftly captured all the passion, heartbreak, joy, and love this fun and flirty couple felt.
I also loved all the pop culture references making this story even more entertaining. It was fun catching up with the characters from the first book and getting to know their brother Miles as well. This is a delightfully sweet and steamy romance and series! I can't wait for Miles and Roxy's story next!
