Publisher's Summary
Take a trip to the beloved supernatural town of Mystic Bayou in this brilliantly funny new stand-alone novella - written for audio-first!
Charlotte McBee knows she’s in for a challenge when she accepts a job as midwife for a dragon and a phoenix shifter. Being a fairy herself, it isn’t the supernatural world that scares her. It’s the thought of delivering a giant metal dragon’s egg, which has her gritting her teeth in pain for poor Jillian, the anxious mother-to-be.
While preparing for the big event, a handsome town resident catches her eye. Leonard is kind, charming, and a little bit mysterious. He’s also suffering from a highly unusual condition brought on by an ancient fairy curse, and he’s too wary of Charlotte to allow her to get close.
Will love overcome fear before the end of her assignment?

Great little read
Very cute little listen with Faes and Faries, I love Ms Ronconis voice, tone and inflections. She adds a certain something to every book I’ve heard her read!

unexpectedly fun
straight up, I picked this book solely because it was a free teaser from audible.
Well I really enjoy fantasy and a type books, I'm not a big fan of the hetero breeding and pregnancy storyline. But it was different. And it was cute. And it was a nice change from a lot of the epic and tragic type of books I've been reading lately which have quite a darker side to them.
It's unusual to jump into a book that is labeled 4.5 in the middle of the series, but that aside, the story actually worked as a standalone. Albeit with a cliffhanger.
Didn't feel like I needed a history of all the characters or details of world building and that's the mark of a good writer. Especially in a long series.
Honestly it is very sweet. And I love the way that it is written as if there is no implausibility factor at all. It's like this is just normal stuff going on in the world today. And that's part of what makes it so endearing.
One of the only things I didn't like about it was it ended quite abruptly and it felt like the first part of a book. Which I guess is the point of a teaser, keeps you wanting to come back for more.
If you're looking for an uplifting, quirky and sweet read I highly suggest it.
I would definitely recommend it for a light distracting read or something you have on if you're having a bubble bath. Again not my thing but I know a lot of people love that.
As an audiobook, I do have to share something that was unusual.
The female narrator is incredibly fast. I had to slow her speed down to .8 for the first half of the book. And then in sharp comparison is the makr narrator who is so slow I had to speed him up to 1.25.
It's an unusual thing to have in an audiobook I wonder if it was an oversight or if they are just that naturally different in their speech and likely never met each other.
but their abilities to pull off a variety of accents and shift the cadence in their voice to create different characters earn them 4 stars
Overall, I still recommend this book as a fun little jaunt into a different world for a couple of hours.

Short and Sweet
I’ve loved this series. Especially loved the narration. So glad to find out what happens when the birth finally takes place. Good things come in small packages.

Charming and fun
Gotta love Mystic Bayou and the charming cast of characters. This was a nice, albeit brief, update on their lives and only begs for a longer follow-up,

Will fill your heart and leave you with a smile
One Fine Fae is out in audio only for right now. This adorable story features Jillian’s wedding, assistant Leonard and the birth of Jillian and Bael’s egg.
This story is much better if you’ve read/listened to the earlier books. As with the others this delightful tale will have you laughing out loud and snorting your tea through your nose and leaving you with a happy heart.
I can’t recommend this series enough.

Short but sweet
I have enjoyed this series very much. It brings supernaturals together with good story lines. It is a light read which I need after a long day with my kids. They enjoy hearing it as well. Molly Harper has many great series out there. This was the series I enjoyed so much (I had gotten a free book listen) that I read several more of her work. The narrators are great and really bring it to life. Wish the books were longer as I like them so much.

Molly Harper books are the Best
I loved this story and so excited to see Jillian’s baby’s birth. Mystic Bayou’s wonderful characters make me Smile and wish I lived there. The narrators are the BEST!!!!! Please put more of your books on Audible Plus. I miss listening to them. I listened all the time on audible escape! Thank you for continuing the story!!!!

I love this humorous and entertaining series.
A great story and addition to the series.
It’s great that Leonard finds someone and a fae to boot.
Charlotte is a midwife and a fae, she arrives in mystic Bayou just ahead of the coming baby boom. First in line is Jillian, a Phoenix shifter married to a dragon and he’s the sheriff. That’s going to be an adventure in cross species delivery.
Charlotte can sense pregnancy and knows she will be busy.
I am so looking forward to more books and audio in this series!!
