A very good book was ruined for me by the poor narration style. This reader sounds like he is telling a bedtime story to children. Although most audiobooks I listen to are fine, occasionally, I run into this problem. I don’t know what motivates these people to read like this, maybe they figure they are adding emotion and improving things. They are doing just the opposite. They are making it unlistenable. At least for me. I am visually impaired and need narration so now I will use Siri, and Siri will just read it without all the unnecessary drama. I returned this and bought the kindle edition.
