Ronan Lynch is a dreamer. He can pull both curiosities and catastrophes out of his dreams and into his compromised reality. Jordan Hennessy is a thief. The closer she comes to the dream object she is after, the more inextricably she becomes tied to it. Carmen Farooq-Lane is a hunter. Her brother was a dreamer...and a killer. She has seen what dreaming can do to a person. And she has seen the damage that dreamers can do. But that is nothing compared to the destruction that is about to be unleashed....

Story
It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them - not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain.

The story is supposed to be over. Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do. He beat the villain. He won the war. He even fell in love. Now comes the good part, right? Now comes the happily ever after.... So why can’t Simon Snow get off the couch? What he needs, according to his best friend, is a change of scenery. That’s how Simon and Penny and Baz end up in a vintage convertible, tearing across the American West. They find trouble, of course. (Dragons, vampires, skunk-headed things with shotguns.) Story
Neil Josten is out of time. He knew when he came to PSU he wouldn't survive the year, but with his death right around the corner he's got more reasons than ever to live. Befriending the Foxes was inadvisable. Kissing one is unthinkable. Neil should know better than to get involved with anyone this close to the end, but Andrew's never been the easiest person to walk away from. If they both say it doesn't mean anything, maybe Neil won't regret losing it, but the one person Neil can't lie to is himself.

Except Andrew doesn't give up anything for free, and Neil is terrible at trusting anyone but himself. The two don't have much time to come to terms with their situation before outside forces start tearing them apart. Riko is intent on destroying Neil's fragile new life, and the Foxes have just become collateral damage.

Story
Neil Josten is the newest addition to the Palmetto State University Exy team. He's short, he's fast, he's got a ton of potential - and he's the runaway son of the murderous crime lord known as the Butcher. Signing a contract with the PSU Foxes is the last thing a guy like Neil should do. The team is high profile, and he doesn't need sports crews broadcasting pictures of his face around the nation. His lies will hold up only so long under this kind of scrutiny, and the truth will get him killed.

Story
Rafe is a normal teenager from Colorado. He's been out since 8th grade, accepted by his peers & championed by his progressive parents. And while that's important, all Rafe really wants is to be a regular guy. To have his sexuality be a part of who he is, but not the headline, every single time. So when Rafe transfers to an all-boys' boarding school in New England, he decides to keep his sexuality a secret - not so much going back in the closet as starting over with a clean slate.

Magic.
I’d already read Opal in ebook, but was thrilled to get an audio version of this short story. The charm of Will Patton’s narration adds a layer of enjoyment to the unfettered pleasure that is a Maggie Stiefvater read. This series is painfully good—one of my all time favorites, and I’m very much looking forward to Call Down the Hawk for more of the story.

That voice...
There is no one to compare with Will Patton's voice...sheets of liquid satin with sandpaper edges. Listening to him resonates in my soul and becomes a full body experience. His voice reading Maggie Stiefvater's words are what I want to hear as the last sound before sleep, each night or eternally .

Great Author .. 1.5 hour audiobook???
I really enjoyed this authors series. It’s a young adult fiction it has both some simple captivating stories and I am appreciative of the genre. Without looking I just went and bought this book and discovered that it’s 1.5 hours long. That’s not a book, that’s a pamphlet.

girl or goat or fae?
A slice of Opal’s life at the Barns with Ronan and Adam. The timeline isn’t specified, but it seems like it would be the summer after graduation, so following The Raven King. Life as told by Opal is amusing as she has some definite goat diet preferences. Will Patton is absolutely fabulous as narrator for the book and series. I’m happy to jump right into Call Down the Hawk;-)
