Directed by pioneer filmmaker Ava DuVernay, "A Wrinkle in Time" is adapted from Madeleine L'Engle's classic 1962 novel of the same name. The movie is about a young girl, Meg Murry, played by newcomer Storm Reid, who hops through time to rescue her father from an evil, universe-threatening force. Ava describes the story as a tapestry of "spirituality and self-empowerment." Disney's "A Wrinkle in Time" has its premiere in movie theaters on March 9, 2018.
