I owned this book as a child and read it many many times. There was just something about it that stuck with me, then and now. I was so happy to be able to hear the story again, as an almost-forty-year-old. Even now, it's still an enjoyable story; other than the characters being young teens, it doesn't feel like a juvenile story; it's still a captivating mystery. I did find the narrator a bit monotone though...
