Publisher's Summary

The autobiography of internationally renowned actress Joan Collins, brought to you in audio by none other than the star herself.

Her role as Alexis Carrington Colby in Dynasty brought her to peak stardom, a role which might have been created for the tempestuous, strong-willed, and passionate woman that she is. As might be expected, in this memoir, she tells the truth; from her romantic adventures - sometimes desirable, sometimes disastrous - with some of the most famous and interesting men in the world, to the inside story of her fascinating and erratic acting career. Joan Collins candidly divulges her past imperfect in a book that is, like herself, outspoken, witty, daring, and full of life.

Very enjoyable but needed a good editor

I love Joan Collins and spent one Christmas in Acapulco with her and her friend Robin. She was delightful and we have several friends in common including the wonderful late Roger Moore. This audiobook has many bad edits, some mistakes with grammar and some weird pronunciations that I am amazed an editor did not catch them. I also read my own autobiography for Audible and know how easy it is to make slight errors, but did nobody listen to the whole thing and realize this before it was put out? Joan you are such a consummate actress and should have listened to it or one of your kids at least because you hear a sentence beginning and then you start it again ,so it is hard to understand how this could have not been noticed. In spite of this I loved listening to your story and admire you so much for all you went through as an actress, as a woman and a mother. Bravo for a fantastic life well lived! I am using audio dictation so forgive me if this has errors too:-)

Queen Joan let down by poor production

Joan Collins is an absolute legend, and a trailblazer when it comes to female sexuality and empowerment in an industry and time that did not recognize or celebrate that. Her story is captivating - full of people we know (and now know more about, for better or worse!), and while I wish the Dynasty time hadn’t been squished into the last 30 mins - and that we’d heard a bit more about her eventually finding marital bliss - I’m very glad I listened. But sadly she has been let down by the producers of this audiobook and that affected the overall performance for me. Repeated sentences, places where they should have had her say something again for clarity - Joan deserved better. One thing I learned from this book is that she’s a professional - it’s a shame the producers of this audiobook were not.
