Took a terrible turn

There will be some spoilers.

Honestly there was a few things I did not like with book two and three but when the MC decides to literally give up his life and his town because he killed innocent people including a good friend because his mind was altered by a way over powered boss lady that was level 150 is just ridiculous. Oh keep in mind that the MC constantly saves the world over and over at great cost to himself. This MC is just annoying with his over the top self loathing and sacrificing for the greater good of people who don’t care. Also the amnesia his girl friend suffers is just bad writing that doesn’t add anything to the story, in fact it gets incredibly annoying when she can’t remember him then still follows him but treats him coldly 90% of the time, girl reminds me of a narcissist

But none of the above had to happen, the story is great, why try and go so dark by killing innocent people, it literally adds absolutely nothing to the story whatsoever. Anyways I am done with this series and will be getting a refund for this book at least
