This is a great book. Really interesting and the author takes a lot of time to explain the aspects of these notable societies.
Clearly there is a message for current US and some other countries in that the most prosperous societies are the ones open to new immigrants, new ideas and new viewpoints. Their death seems to come from being closed off and insular.

Def good material here, delivered in a interesting way and perfect length. Recommended!
