At long last, the authors have finally returned their focus back to the star of this series, agent Pendergast. The book is entirely about him and his exploits as a new FBI agent. I loved it. I thought the prequel idea was clever, although I would have liked a few more questions about the Pendergast family answered, but I was overall pleased with story and background info about Proctor. The setting is great and story is suspenseful, everything needed for a great read. Thanks Preston and Child! I look forward to all your new books and I’m always a bit sad when they are done. Looking forward to the next one!
