Publisher's Summary

Phoebe, the soulless child, has been raised by her adoptive father, Eric—the universe-hopping vampire wizard from the future. After all, who better to raise a soulless infant than an undead monster?

He did his best to raise her right. He made certain she was well-educated. He picked a reasonably decent culture for her to grow up in. He trained her in her powers, taught her everything he could, and even broadened her horizons by touring other worlds, other times, other histories—and some futures! He did his best to be a good father and to prepare her for an uncaring universe.

Why? Because he knew there always comes a time when a child has to step out of the nest and spread her wings.

Some of them fly. Some of them fall.

From His Shadow is Phoebe’s diary, with events set between Nightlord: Fugue (book seven) and Nightlord: Penumbra (book eight) of the Nightlord series.

Simply - Yes Please!

Narrator: Fantastic job. Makes you think that's exactly how phoebe sounds like in your heads from the previous books as she is growing up.

Eric the M.C is still awesome.
the book is an excellent pallet tickler because we absolutely love the characters and wanted a phoebe story. Although this book is listed as 7.1 (which usually means a filler) this story gives you plenty to chew on with foreshadowing the next installment and makes you excited for the more.

keep up the great work! I absolutely love this series.

p.s for audible listeners using credits. best bang for you buck. these book almost last the week as I listen to them while working (auto assembler).

Fantastic as ever

It was amazing as I knew if would. Was so excited to see Halar hit the field when he is about to, the build up filled me with so much awe and love I was shouting his name. Thank you for creating such a hero of complete human emotions and difficulties.

the narrator : my first impressions I didn't enjoy her reading the book she sounded too too young, it took me to long to finally get into the book there was no excitement in the voice nothing.

the story was good there was some ups and downs I really like the young wolf he made it more thrilling with him and Dusty yeah he's himself I did enjoy the story but didn't enjoy The voice
