About this listen

Surprise your friends! Astonish your family! With Pimsleur® you'll be speaking and understanding like a native in no time. Thirty minutes a day is all it takes!

This course includes lessons 6 to 10 from the Korean Level 1 program, featuring two and a half hours of language instruction. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons is included in each lesson. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension and on learning to speak Korean.

The Korean Language

Korean, the native language of about 80 million people, is the official language of both North and South Korea. It is also spoken in neighboring Yanbian, China. There are two standard dialects, Seoul (South Korea) and P'yongyang (North Korea). Pimsleur's Korean teaches the Seoul dialect of South Korea.

What the critics say

"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." (AudioFile magazine)

Overall useful content in phrases. Learning Korean slowly. I have now purchased all of level 1 books. I am unsure if I will continue because there is no table of contents. It is very frustrating to not have units labelled! How can you review individual units?? If I want to review numbers I should be able to scroll in the table of contents and for example see that it is level 1 section 16. Unsure why even in the book description it is not written the list of topics that will be covered. Please add this basic request. Looking into other Korean books through audible.

No table of contents makes reviewing difficult
