À propos de cet audio
A strange inheritance, a screaming ghost, and a backward aging cat. Welcome to Pixie-hood!
When I arrive in Oakleaf Glade to claim an inheritance, I imagine it'll run to a few hundred in a savings account. Instead, I receive an entire house!
I'd thank my lucky stars except for the experiences that come part and parcel with the arrangement. Things like my hair turning bright pink and trending skywards, or a kitten who I swear can understand me when I talk.
But when a ghost shrieks me awake at night, warning that if I stay I'll die just like my great aunt Esmerelda, I'm ready to put my boots on. Except my inheritance runs deeper than a title deed, it's lodged in my DNA. As the youngest daughter of a youngest daughter, I'm a Pixie, pink hair and all.
Luckily, I've made some fast friends in town already because I'll need all the help I can get!

Boring and annoying!!
It’s a very sad state when a 3hr and 57 minute book that’s supposed to be a cosy mystery, drags, gets boring and starts to annoy you almost immediately.
The FL is disturbingly annoying.
This author was a little bit too wordy for their own good. It’s a cosy mystery. I don’t know the page count for the written book, but it has to be small if the audio version is just short of four hours, and even with such a short book, at an hour and a 1/2 in ( two hours and 24 minutes left), we are now getting to the point where she comes into her pixie powers, and according to the cat, she’s not even fully there yet, now experiencing her first ghost, now thinking her aunt may have been killed and now finding out she’s a pixie, etc, etc.
Why waste all this time knowing that the book is short why couldn’t it be a case where she already knew she was a pixie, but couldn’t come into her powers until the powers were transferred from some other member in the family so we already have a headstart when the aunt dies? or at least she could have made that discovery within the first 20-30 minutes of the book. We could already have been into the story by now but instead, it’s now getting started? it leaves me with no desire to continue this book.
I’m sorry to say, maybe it was just the writing, but even the narrator couldn’t make this book better. I also think the narrator is part of the problem.
