I was hoping it would be good and it far exceeded my expectations. Thoroughly enjoyed this book, the humour was right up my alley.

This book was really funny and I actually laughed out loud a few times, I really enjoyed the story line and the author did a great job developing the characters. The FMC was strong, funny and grew throughout the story. The world building was excellent as well and added some unique elements to some mythical creatures.

The narration absolutely made the story. Her accent was so well done and the pace and cadence of her storytelling was spot on. This is the first book in a long time, maybe ever, that I was able to listen at normal 1x speed. Most narrators pause too long after sentences which makes it sound too much like they are reading than talking. Perhaps it is a combination of narrator and editing but whatever they did it made the book that much better. Overall it was a great story line, excellent narrator and the characters and world were interesting and well thought out. I have already purchased several more of her books!!
